Mindful Meals - South Austin, TX

I've been searching this FB page and Reddit to see if anyone posted their surprise bags from Mindful Meals. I haven't found anything about it. I purchased their soup and salad surprise bag for $6.49 +tax for a$19.50 value.

The pickup location was very close to my house - YAY. The lady in Capital Kitchens was super nice and helpful. I received a large 32oz container if chicken vegetable soup with lemon and dill and a large container of Texas Summer Salad. Each are $16.00 on Mindful Meals' website, so I definitely got my money's worth.

In short, both were very fresh and delicious. The soup was chock full of vegetables and chicken. It was light and refreshing. There is no best by date, but I'm sure that the soup was made in the last day or so. The Texas Summer Salad was prepared on 08/18/2026 with the best by being 7 days according to the label. The salad came with a cilantro, mint and lime vinegarette. Very tasty. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the contents.

This appears to be a new surprise bag according to 2G2G. Unfortunately, surprise bags from Mindful Meals are rare. I highly recommend this particular surprise bag if you love soup and salad.

Recently moved to within a 5 minute walk of GAILS - being very blessed by toogoodtogo!

I've had a few surprise bags from them now (having never really been there before - it is really expensive full price) and they do a good job of varying the contents of the bags, usually you get a loaf, a pot (salad/yoghurt) and a pastry or two. I cant get through more than 1 loaf a week so this will be a weekly thing for us. £5.50 for fresh bread (which went in the freezer), two breakfasts and two snacks was very good for us.

I've bought the chilled and bakery so not supposed to have the hot wraps..
But it's okay I guess? Two days lunch for two 👍🏻

Nice Haul Fresh Market Roswell Road

This $10 bag came out to $42.67. I like all of it. Chicken Parm, Chicken Cannelloni and a Spinach and Tomato quiche.

£4.50 Bob & Bert's in Northern Ireland

Not so bad considering the price for a single scone or bun is around £3.50 but seen far better ones on this page. I've also collected from Gregg's before and got far more for less.

My first time using too good to go.

My first every time ordering.

Greggs and Tim Hortons. Honestly I was hoping for more from greggs, but I enjoyed all 3.

The Donuts were fucking goated, amazing for like £5.50.

I also got M&S but don't have a photo. I was worried the most about that one. And was still disappointed.

Some shitty sandwiches, a roast chicken Sunday dinner (which looks ok) a marmite and cheese sandwich, spinach and ricotta tortalini and a prawn cocktail sandwich. Honestly super disappointed.

Morrisons Bakery £1.99

Really pleased with this! Was meant to be worth £6.99 but it looks like a couple of pounds more.

Amigos burgers and fries for £3.39

Walked 10 mins down the road at like 23:30 just out of curiosity to see what their "Chicken surprise bag" might have, an entire freshly grilled peri peri chicken for £3.39 with an extra in store purchase of spicy peri chips for £2 🥹

(Im aware its plated shit but only cos I had to make room for the chips and took this pic cos my mate asked if its worth him going there tomorrow haha)

BBQ+RICE Buckhead, GA - 2 bags @ $7.50 each

Not sure how to feel about this one tbh
Food looks and smells good, but value doesn’t feel like it’s there.

Menu that came with the bag states that the items I received cost $11.50 each, only $4 than what I paid for each bag. For 3x the value I would expect two of these right?

Additionally, when I went in to get my bag, there were probably 20 bags just sitting out on the counter. It is obvious that the food was packaged hot (from the condensation on the lid) but the food was not warm at all when I got it, so I’m not sure how long it has just been sitting on the counter, which is concerning for food safety reasons.

Also a bunch of bags already filled with food lined up when they don’t close for another two hours doesn’t exactly seem like I’m saving food from going to waste

Idk, I’m waffling against reporting/asking for a refund or just dealing with it, pls lmk if I’m overreacting

Eataly 2x$7.99 1x$14.99 West Palm Beach FL

Definitely pissed about 2 of the 3 bags. Technically can't complain as it met value but it was bullshit. I was so irritated as the grocery bags were trash and shocked when I looked in the bags as they were so empty compared to previous and then to get basically dups in both bags was lame especially when the contents were sad. This is the first time I didn't receive any prepared food which was the main reason I bought the bags as their pasta and sauces are so good. Not a fan of hit and miss places so I think this will be off my list of buying as I prefer consistent bags.

Bakery Bag - value approx $33 - I was satisfied with this bag as bread is what I expect to get. Their focaccia is so soft and delicious.

1 Classic focaccia slice

1 baguette

1 sourdough loaf

1 giant tartufo focaccia

Small Grocery - value approx $25 plus whatever the chocolate valued as you can't find on their website.

1 bag of regular potato chips 4 days past Exp date... doesn't say BB so maybe I can complain.

1 box amaretti pistachio cookies 2 days past BB date

4 small Venchi chocolates

Large Grocery - value approx $41 and whatever the chocolate adds up for. Dates same as above.

1 bag regular potato chips

1 box amaretti pistachio cookie

1 giant cacio e Pepe Focaccia

8 small Venchi chocolates

Ellicor - North Austin,TX

I picked up 2 $5.99 bags for $18.00 worth of drinks and snacks from Ellicor at The Crecent in North Austin, TX earlier this evening. This is my 3rd surprise bag purchase. The 1st bag looks like it's right at the $18.00 value, but the 2nd one does not. I'm not too happy about the tiny individual size lemon Kit Kats the young lady who put together the 2nd bag that looked like she opened a bag to get them out of. The 2nd bag's value is definitely not up to par. 😫

Addendum - The 2G2G Chatbot is nuts. I asked for a refund of the 2nd bag because it was not valued at the $18.00 posted for these bags. The crazy Chatbot refunded my ENTIRE 2 bag purchase. 😫
