Don't you hate it when local mechanics (or part-changers as I like to call them) give you the runaround and throw parts at a car without properly diagnosing the issue?

​Well, I've been using Google’s Gemini AI to diagnose an annoying issue on my own car. I fed it the symptoms, what I’ve already replaced, and a bit of the car's history. The results were surprisingly detailed and even pointed me in a direction I never would have thought to look. I'm still waiting on some parts to arrive, but if this fixes it, it could save a lot of people the headache and expense of dealing with these trigger happy part-changers.

Take a few cars with tricky issues and try to diagnose them using only AI. It would be fascinating to see how accurate and helpful AI actually is when put to the test, especially if you compared the AI's diagnosis against both a guesswork part-changer and a proper mechanic who actually knows their stuff.
