What is the Rumble champion

I have no idea how to play this matchup. I'll consider it a win if i'm only down 50cs. Cannot approach the wave, cannot interact with him. Swifties rush but will do your entire health bar in one combo.

They'll either run deathfire touch and burn you alive every 2 seconds if you dare be on the same screen as them (and run away), or stormaider's and you will never catch them. I am so happy it's not a common pick, because it's such a safe, stupid champion.

Any tips in general? Champions that do good against him? I'm a Poppy main/occasional Jax player, and both struggle really hard. It's completely unplayable for Poppy.

Top lane in Master+ is legit the worst experience this game can offer

Jayce, Varus, Anivia, Rumble, Jax, Warwick, Vayne

bullshit overloaded champions when played correctly have zero counterplay in lane

One mistake and you are now 4 levels behind, getting ganked on repeat because now you are an easy target, you are getting bullied from level one and can't even be in xp range against good players, your jungler refuses to help 90% matches and just lets the snowball gets worse and worse, your team flames you because they have no idea how snowbally and punishing this lane is, you die mid you lose nothing you die top it's gg ff15

if you are a traditional top lane player picking fighters juggernauts bruisers this game is hell, i'm really done this season fuck riot and fuck this meta

Once in a lifetime winners queue

What can i say. Started G3 yesterday with the goal to go to bed on a win. Ended up in P4 at 10am today. I know i didnt perform good in every match but man does it feel good to win by simply refusing to teamfight and bonk towers. I will chase this high till the end of my time.

Why is top lane so unpopular in 2026?

I'm a GM mid laner that plays top as a subrole. For most of 2026, I simply don't get autofilled anymore at the expense of playing top often because it's one of the most low priority queues next to support - even more than jungle now.

That's helped me climb smoothly but for most people, why is it so unpopular now?

Turning League Champs into E7 Heroes: Gangplank (Day 8)

Hey everyone, as an avid enjoyer of both League and Epic Seven, I’ve asked myself what if League had a collab with Epic Seven? I’ve been writing down my ideas for a *LONG* time, so I have decided to start a series where I finally post my theorycrafts. I don’t have exact stats and numbers figured out, so take them with a grain of salt and assume they’re basically relative to a full build version of the champ with most popular items.

For Day 8, I’m posting the champ that one of my friends likes to play: GP

**Hero Info**
> Class: Thief
> Element: Fire
> Constellation: Cancer

- S1: Parley!
> Gangplank shoots his flintlock pistol at an enemy, applying a Burn for 2 turns. A critical strike penetrates defense by 35% and ignores effect resistance. If the caster has Barrel, grants the caster increased speed for 1 turn before dealing additional damage to all enemies, consuming all Barrel stacks. Additional damage dealt penetrates defense by 50% and increases with the number of Barrel stacks consumed and the caster’s attack, critical hit chance, and critical hit damage.

- S2: Powder Keg
> Active: Gangplank plants a barrel near the enemy, granting himself increased speed for 1 turn and the unique effect “Barrel,” before increasing combat readiness by 30%. Barrel stacks up to 5 times. No cooldown.
> Passive: if the caster falls below 35% hp or is immobilized at the beginning of the caster’s turn, the caster consumes a citrus fruit, cleansing all debuffs and healing. Healing increases with the caster’s attack. This skill can be used even when the caster is immobilized. 3 turn cooldown.
> Barrel: Kaboom? Yes, kaboom.

- S3: Cannon Barrage
> Gangplank calls down several waves of cannon strikes over an area, damaging and inflicting Slow on all enemies for 2 turns. Increases Speed of all allies for 2 turns. A successful hit will deal 5000 fixed damage. Cannot trigger a critical strike or a counterattack. Gain an extra turn.
> Cooldown: 6 turns

- Artifact: The Collector
> Thief exclusive
> Increases critical hit chance by 25%. Additional, fixed, or burn damage dealt by the caster that would bring the enemy’s health below 5-10% executes them. The caster gains 5% increased speed for every enemy executed this way.

most confusing season by far

Every other lobby you can't tell which champions are going in what role, and it isn't just top. You can't tell who's going bot lane anymore. Can't tell who's jungling. Can't tell who's top.

Making more champs viables in a restrictive role is an interesting thought by itself, but when you apply that to ALL roles, it doesn't make the game interesting. It makes the game a boring clusterfuck.

And then you have top lane, the role which is the most influenced by matchup. Every game, you hand-tailor your runes for your lane matchup, but it ends up feeling confusing and frustrating when you've made runes and summoner spells for the completely wrong matchup. It takes an already losing and frustrating matchup and makes it EVEN MORE losing and frustrating. What makes it EVEN WORSE is you can't swap with your mid laner anymore. Before it would create some form of counterplay where you laneswap, and then your counter laneswaps to match you, but now you're in a short lane and have a chance to breathe. CAN'T DO THAT ANYMORE.

Rant over

How in your opinion should riot try to fix top lane

Hello there fellow top mains, in my humble opinion top have a little problem with ranged tops and quest be fake how you would fix top lane?
In my option items should be a bit cheeper and maby change in the role quest

I saw this happens a lot if I win lane most of the game is decided by if my bot side didn’t lose the game by 15 min and If the game is even why in the hell in this world I have around 50 cs up on enemy adc and 3 kills and in the 30 min mark he got 3.5 or even 4 items when I finish my 3 one

When are they gonna delete top lane from the game?

Its a bait role that loses you LP even if you are a chall smurf, every other role in the game does everything top wants to do but better. You like bruisers? Go jgl, You like skirmishers? Go mid, You like tanks? fuck you. Just swap roles! Why even have the role to exist with if you literally cant win on it no matter how good or bad you do. Top is known as a role for low agency, but this season instead of low agency try no agency! Remember when you could kill an adc when you were up 5 kills as irelia? Now look at that adc, Hes been drinking protein shakes, has his tank jungler and support perma with him incase you DARE look at them. Okay okay, they cant always be around right? Okay so lets try the statcheck this season, Top vs Adc. Oh would you look at that, the ADC 100-0s you because your jungler thought it would be fun to try ahri jungle for the first time in his match career and he has 50 kills because of that. Oh well! Surely you can atleast split or teamfight right? Oh wait top laners have the worst teamfights in the game unless your playing fucking mage or tank or if your up kills (Never going to happen haha fucking idiot) and splitpushing has been out of meta since season 9,

but dont worry its okay little timmy, random reddit goyim u/poopymcdumbfuck11 (IDF sleeper agent) says top is actually a good role and your champ actually has 50% winrate on lolalytics in silver, so therefore you can lane and you just dont have the hands for it. You should try Garen or something! HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA

-25 +16 LP RATIOS HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH FROM EMERALD TO GOLD FROM EMERALD TO GOLD HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHHA ITS OKAY MAN IF YOU JUST GET GOOD ENOUGH AT IT IT WILL BE REWARDING@!@!@@!@! HAHAHAHHA TRUST ME MAN YOU JUST NEED TO PLAY IT MORE!!! PLEASE EAT MORE TOP SLURM<<< MORE TOP NERFS HAHAHAHA! YOU SHOULD ORDER A COACH!! LEARN BETTER MACRO OR SOMETHING HAHAHAH

Does anyone else find it really hard to split push in low elo?

Hello, to give some context, I'm an emerald support/top main. When I play top, I just generally play illaoi, Warwick, or something like Naafiri in very niche situations.

However, I wanted to focus on top solely, so that's what I'm doing in my current grind. To kinda get to the main point of my question, I'll pick Yorick a fair bit. When I do, I feel like it breaks my teams brain every time plat and below... Even in emerald.

Like the idea of me going top, having 3 to stop me... They just don't do anything. I tried to figure out why, but my only guess is that this elo and below just doesn't understand macro.

I think it's a bit annoying I have to do this disclaimer every post, but here we go:

This is not my excuse to be hardstuck emerald. I understand that my consistency is key. I do have a positive winrate along with good winrate across my champion pool, so I know where I stand. I am not the best or being held back by my team by any means. This post is mostly just me trying to figure out if there's something I'm not doing.

You can say "emerald is low elo" and to some, yeah. There is a massive skill gap between emerald and diamond 2. However, being at top 9% or so shows you have a decent understanding of the game. Saying that it's low elo with 1k games in gold is copium.

Lastly and this is probably the more details everyone wants, this is my main play around things: when I play top, I play to pressure hard, but I also know when to be defensive. For example: unless it's something that can level 2 gank me, I shove lane or aim to by 3 minutes. After this, my strategy is to hold wave at the middle or let it push into me. The reason being, is because I've generally gotten the enemy top to a point of which I can kill them next trade and I know their jungle is likely around. I assume the jungler is until I'm shown otherwise. If I see him bot side or mid, that's my queue. If I don't see him at all, then I'll play depending on the matchup. If it's someone sneaky like shaco, I'm cautious as he may lane gank. Assuming all goes well, this is generally where I either have a kill lead and/or good CS lead.

From this point on, my goal is to try fight as much as possible with good CS. I'm just going to assume that this is a relatively well game where I'm ahead on Yorick or whatever and I now have mid, jg, in some cases support all looking at me. This doesn't bother me as I'm generally really good at watching the map. However, later into laning phase is where it starts to kinda.. well, fall apart. So let's assume I'm in the position of which I'm winning. I will play around timers. Example: I won't hard shove and pressure until Drake is 30 seconds to being up. If more than one person shows, I generally take the enemy jungles camps as they normally hold hands when farming top lane in case I circle back.

Even if my team is winning, I kid you not, they don't play the game. They sit back under towers and/or just hold hands in jungle. When I ask why, it's generally responded with "we need you, you won't group, laning phase is over, etc." I feel very confused to say the least. I understand that in some games I have to because we don't have a front line or whatever. Even when we do, they just refuse.

This isn't always the case, but it's sometimes even an issue in emerald, so I found the best solution is that I just can't build hullbreaker. Even if I'm pushing botlane, 5 people come botlane, maybe I take 1-2, they won't baron or push. Instead, I find them either trying to avenger or (and I'm sadly not kidding), fighting red buff together.

It kinda gets infuriating sometimes especially when the game is really REALLY linear and I can do this for free, but idk.. I never understood because when I play support, the enemy team doesn't do this. They actually play the game. So I'm just left wondering, is this a normal thing, or is there something wrong with what I'm doing? I don't mean for this to sound rude, but I'd appreciate responses from higher elo players than where I'm at.

I have friends in masters/GM that tell me that I should just adapt to what works because expecting your team to follow the script is like trying to teach a gold fish how to sit. I agree, but idk. Maybe it's what I get for ever picking these annoying champions

[Emerald] Junglers are unable to adapt

So here is an observation I made as a toplaner. I realized that at my elo (emerald) junglers are very often unable to adapt their pathing, especially early on, to the state of a game.

For example, I like to play aggressive in lane. Sometimes, at level one, I have a fight with my opponent and we both end up no flash/no ignite, 100hp left, at level 1. At this point the minions are still in the middle of the lane, but can even be pushing toward my tower, forcing the opposing top laner to move forward by a lot. Meanwhile, my jungle just finishes its gromp and gets level 2.

Usually at this moment of the game, no one warded the river yet, so this situation is basically a free kill for the jungle. Yet, despite signalling it (I'm not talking about a single game, this is a recurrent event), my jungle will usually go for its normal jungle path all the way down to botlane.

The argument he will tell me for not ganking when I was asking for is usually that he will be late on the other jgl. Yet, he does not realize the value this early gank would have given for the team. Best case, he takes the kill on a 100hp no f top laner. Worst case, he forces the enemy toplaner to move back, lose a ton of xp, and maybe even recall, which in a no-tp matchup gives a huge advantage to the other toplaner: me.

Another example is when you face a counter to your champ, or a champion that becomes tough to kill past level 6 (as a Singed player, Nasus is one of them for instance, but can also be kayle, a range top, etc). Here the jungler often does not understand that coming for a gank after level 8 is pointless. Usually they will say that "I had to do my clear", then later "the drake was up", etc, but this is exactly my point: you should have been there earlier. The drake spawns always at the same time, this is not a surprise.

Last, junglers do not face the consequences of their mistakes (at least not immediatly). When your jungle comes, tries a risky dive and trade kill with your laner, yes sure he gets the kill, you the assist, and you have some xp advantage building up, but if repeated and you do not get any kill (only assists), you will end up facing a 3/3 Darius that will brutalize you when you're still in 0/0/3. I think it is crucial that junglers (1) do not trade kill on your lane, and (2) share kills in case of repeated ganks so that you can take the lead on your lane.

So to conclude, I do not want to complain about me losing my lane and begging for help for my own mistakes. No, here I want to emphasize the fact that jungles do not see opportunities, and more importantly, do not understand what puts your laners in a good position for the rest of the game.

On the other hand, I acknowledge that sometimes the jungle solo-carry my game. Here I'm rather pointing out a specific problem they are sharing at my elo. On the other hand, the other roles, including top, are having their own demons to face (botlane I'm looking at you), but this one is the one that annoys me the most because it is the one that impacts my game the most.

What are your thoughts on this, except that I have a blatant skill issue?

Am i weird for thinking traditional tank tops are disappearing?

its almost 1 in every 50 games i see 1 tank top? now this might be different in high elo but down here in the trenches top lane seems to just be ranged top and darius seth and thats it and it makes me not want to play top.

Does lp gains normalize every season?

Recently I went on an unlucky loststreak and it got so bad to the point where im losing 24 LP and gaining 16 I decided to abandon the account and make a new one, but when the new split comes will it become balanced or will i still lose and gain the same.

Just started, looking for a guide

Hey I recently started playing league and took a liking to the top lane. Was just wondering, if any of you can recommend a definitive guide on top lane macro/managing waves and such. I'm maining Jax for now, but still looking for a champion

I tried every champion categorized as a toplaner in game (except Vayne and Xin Zhao) and categorized them by my experience.

This was a fun but albeit long process. Xin Zhao and Vayne were not on the tier list so I just skipped them, besides they're primarily made for other roles. Any suggestions of feedback is welcome as long as its constructive.
