💬 What's the biggest trading lesson you've learned... the hard way?

Every trader has that one moment.

The one that completely changed the way they trade.

Maybe it was blowing an Evaluation.

Maybe it was revenge trading.

Maybe it was risking way too much on a single trade.

Or maybe it was realizing that discipline matters more than strategy.

I'll go first.

>Risk management isn't exciting. Neither is blowing an account. I'd rather be bored than start over.

Ab aapki baari. ☕

👇 What's the biggest trading lesson you've learned the hard way?

It doesn't have to be related to Tradeify.

Your experience might save another trader from making the same mistake.

Tradeify 50k growth account

Bought a 50k growth account, haven’t traded properly in around a year and getting back into it. Is there any helpful info on this account, rules etc.

If Your Heart Is Racing Every Time You Trade. That's Probably Your Biggest Clue.

I used to think trading was supposed to feel intense.

Watching every candle.
Moving stop losses.
Hoping the next candle would save the trade.

Now?

The best trades are almos uneventful.

Entry.
Manage risk.
Walk away.

No drama.

What about you guys?

Do you still watch every tick, or have you reached the point where you can let the trade do its thing?

Understanding Lucid Payout Vs Tradeify both 50k Select Flex vs Lucid 50k Flex

What happens to the 50% of each payout request with lucid ? you just never ever get it ? and if thats the case wouldnt it be appropriate to say your payout is indeed 90% of 50% of your 5-dayout profit ? where as with Tradeify the previous payout 50% is factored into your next payout 50%

Anyone got 25k payout here ?

Hey everyone , looking to add another prop firm as I’m max allocated with other 3 big ones ,
Planning to buy 5 150k but out of all the prop firms I’ve traded I’ve heard the least about this one so I’m a bit skeptical about getting max payout paid out
Can anyone put my worries to rest lol

Traders - Psychology , Stocks , Options

I've been wondering about something and would appreciate hearing from experienced traders.
I've noticed that many consistently successful traders rarely talk about their losses on Reddit, Instagram, or other social media, even though most of them spent 7–8 years developing their skills. At the same time, I also come across traders with 10–12 years of experience who still share stories about struggling to become consistently profitable.
So I'm curious - does it genuinely take 7–10+ years for most traders to achieve consistent profitability, or do some traders simply spend years repeating the same mistakes without refining their edge?
I'm not looking for shortcuts, I understand trading is a difficult skill. I'm just trying to understand whether the long timeline is a normal part of the learning curve or if there's usually something missing in the approach of those who remain unprofitable after a decade.
I'd love to hear from traders who have actually been through the journey.

Take payout or keep building buffer for max payout

So every time I search this question on here everyone is saying take payout to the OP. I have an apex 100k and my account is at 103700 right now. If I take $500 payout right now it’ll be at 103100 - I would like to keep building buffer and try to go for a max payout of $2000 & get my account at like 106000 before taking a payout. Is this dumb? This is my first payout ever if I did take it now.
Does anyone go for max payout ? Or do yall just go for the minimum $500?

Coming up to Week 6 of waiting for my Live account

Got "moved to Live" on May 29th. Filled out the manual paperwork twice but each time submitted immediately right back. Then at some point the above showed up in my account without notice in the sidebar. So I filled it out again for a third time using the automated flow above. Week after that it said approved. It's now been a week sitting at approved/waiting.

Anybody else extremely disappointed with Tradeify lately? At least with their complete lack of communications and customer support?

How Important Do you Believe Backtesting Is, In Order To Be A Successful Trader? 📊

Some traders swear by it and say need hundreds of hours logged before ever risking real money. Others say it's overrated and screen time in live markets teaches you faster than any backtest could.

Where do you actually stand on this?

Poll:

  • Its Essential: You can't be consistently profitable without it
  • Helpful but not necessary: It speeds things up but isn't necessary
  • Overrated: Live trading teaches you faster than backtesting ever will
  • Never backtested. Never will.

Drop your reasoning below. Curious to hear from people on both sides of this. 👀

Finally!!

And after 2 years of trying and failing, and quitting for months, and coming back to paper trade, one day I decided I was ready to try again, I finally passed again a prop firm eval… yeah, small size, yeah I might not make much out of it maybe get couple hundred bucks weekly, but it is a great achievement, and I’m proud of it. I will keep this up and get better with time.
Just wanted to put this out somewhere, don’t care about the reactions or the attention this might get.

I had this issue with alpha trader, i contacted support they kept asking for trade ids that were literally non existent as in there is money and time jumps, and they just keep asking for it, is this a way for them to not have to reset accounts that were messed up from their part

First ever payout

As the title says today is the day I got my first ever payout approved on tradeify select daily 50k account. $665! Of course after the 90/10 I’m taking home $600 , I have another payout lined up for tomorrow at $577. I’ve been in the trading world for about 10 months and it’s been a grind so I’m very very excited to even be typing this and sharing it lol. I’m not wanting to sound over confident, to any profitable traders reading this. What was your next step, how did you feel after your first payout? I want to ride this high but also know that I can’t let it take control of me. Mainly I just want to share with anyone who wants to listen and would love to hear your stories and thoughts !
