Been using Trakt for about 1 year, recently I’ve noticed a ton of non English speakers and across all movies/shows. Curious as to why, and perhaps the devs can implement an auto translate feature.
Hey, I'm the developer of r/MoviebaseApp.
The app has been on Android for years, around 200k people use it, and a large part of them are Trakt users. A few days ago, I released the iOS version.
What I want now is to make it the Trakt client I would use myself, instead of guessing.
What does your current Trakt app on iOS do that you would miss, and what has never worked properly in any of them?

The original account works w solo app of POV, yet every attempt to access the account via the email link, generates a new one.
I can use a direct path of https://app.trakt.tv/profile/(username)?mode=show, but this doesn't allow full TRAKT option, just my HISTORY.
There has got to be a way in ... doesn't there?
What are the official apps that don't count towards the connected app limit?
Hey, how's it going, i hope you guys are doing well.
So, since trakt don't usually have much ratings and comments/reviews on movies or tv shows, i always have to go to imdb for reviews and stuff.
I wanted to transfer my watch history and ratings to imdb to completely shift there but I didn't find any solution. And yes i know about github repo TraktIMDBSyncer but trakt has locked the API (developers option) behind a paywall now.
So, is there any way to transfer my trakt data to imdb for free?!
Any tool would be much much appreciated.

Hey, I'll preface this by saying I rarely use Trakt nowadays and was surprised when I logged into my old account a few months ago to see a) it still works and b) how different the site looks. I was searching for lists of 90s and 00s Sitcoms. Didn't get any hits, closest was an action movies list. Am I doing something wrong or are there no lists collating all the Sitcoms from the 90s and 00s (and if that's the case I'll make my own 😄)?

I don't know how long this restriction will last but I hope it does end. This is the last straw for me since I don't wish to manually mark everything as watched from Plex.
I posted Foreseerr here a while ago when it was still a very early fork of Seerr. Since then it has grown quite a bit, so I figured it was worth making a proper update instead of editing the old post.

The original goal was basically to make Seerr's discovery experience more useful for people who already have a media server and want something beyond the usual TMDB discovery pages.

Foreseerr is Jellyfin-first for the deeper stuff (Library / Watch Now, Desktop playback, Jellyfin watched actions, Better Trakt).
Plex and Emby still work for Seerr-style sign-in, library scans, requests, and availability. Shared features like Direct Trakt, rating badges, Discover, and the request pipeline are not media-server-specific. Full Library/Desktop parity for Plex/Emby is not a near-term priority.
It’s still a work in progress — mostly built around what I wanted from Jellyseerr/Seerr on Jellyfin.
Especially interested in feedback from Jellyfin (and Plex/Emby) stacks: what would make you use Foreseerr as your main media frontend, not only open Seerr when requesting something?

I’m aware that some people lose all sense of proportion in their feedback, but I’ve just experienced how, even when you’re angry but still within reasonable boundaries, posts get shamelessly deleted (with a reaction time of less than five minutes from Saturday to Sunday). You can also exploit that while cynically acting as if your news makes everbody happy. The number of deleted posts speaks for itself. So it’s no longer enough to force your long-paying users to do something and then use their money against them—now we also have censorship of the minority (which apparently isn’t that small if posts have to be deleted). What’s going on at Trakt is simply cynical, and today, after almost 10 years, I canceled my subscription immediately after this experience because I refuse, on principle, to give money to people like that. It’s a shame that people like that were given this opportunity, especially considering how little they deserve it with their ignorance, even though users were far too loyal despite so much incompetence. My post to them was nicer, but it doesn't matters anyway.
I'll go for self-hosting now. Check out https://github.com/ignisda/ryot and Yamtrack guys. Vote with your wallet guys, they don't deserve your money. And tell everybody about it, like you told them that Trakt is awesome, while it was. But now it's over.
Hi guys, trakt noob here. I have had trouble lately because trakt needs me to disconnect from services and only have one at the same time.
Is there any other benefits otherwise to becoming a VIP? I mainly use it to scrobble what I watch from Nuvio or Stremio.

I used to use the Trakt app from the Mac App Store on MacOS, I believe it is the one designed for iPad. Anyway it stopped working a week ago.
No updates in the app store, searching the mac app store brings no results as if the app has been delisted.
Have they stopped supporting the app on MacOS(Designed fro iPad)?
How in the world do I login now? I am unable to use my user and password so it defaults to email links. Problem is that email link is not synced with my existing account and I can’t see my history at all. How can I remedy this?
Hey, i don't know if i am the only one experiencing this but movies and series i remove from watchlist on the app or website keeps coming back after a while, is there a way to permanently remove them? Anyone else facing this issue?

I have paid for a monthly subscription for RPDB (rating poster data base) so that ratings show up on the cover/poster art across all of Stremio and it works for all my other catalogs except for my Trakt Watchlist and Trakt Recommendations.
It is even working on all my other Trakt lists, like Popular & Trending and some custom lists I found.
How can I get it to work on my Trakt Watchlist and Trakt Recommendations?
They are the only 2 that are not responding to RPDB API key.

I’ve had my account for probably a decade or longer, and every year or two I try to repurpose my personal lists, combining them or moving items between lists. Which has worked well until I got to my lists where I had previously added whole seasons or the Specials category, each ‘sublist’ as a single item on that personal list. I also have a separate personal list of single episodes that I loved or want to rewatch (using it like bookmarks).
I have tried on the website and in the iOS app, but I can’t figure out how to do anything other than track or remove any of them from my lists, but I’d rather combine them all into one list, and then reuse the other list for 2027, since I can’t make new lists, only repurpose old ones.
I can see that Trakt knows that the individual episodes are on lists, bc the few I checked show how many lists they are on, different for each episode even within a series.
Anyone have any ideas of how it might be possible to move the unmovable? I know a lot of features have been limited on free accounts, and I don’t know if this is still doable on paid accounts (I really don’t want to pay LOL, but maybe 1 month to clean it all up could be worth it 🤷🏻♀️).
I’ve put together two complete MCU watch orders on Trakt:
Complete Release Order
Follows the MCU by original release date, including movies, TV seasons, individual episodes, One-Shots, Special Presentations, and other MCU releases.
Complete Chronological Order
Follows the story timeline and splits certain shows into specific episode ranges where necessary — especially Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Daredevil, and Luke Cage.
Both lists are updated through August 2026, including Eyes of Wakanda, Wonder Man, Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, The Punisher: One Last Kill, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
One reason I made these on Trakt is that it lets me place individual seasons and episodes directly in the correct position instead of treating an entire show as one entry.
If you notice anything that should be moved, added, or corrected, let me know. I plan to keep both lists updated as new MCU projects are released.
I just logged in for the first time in a little while - can I not sort my continue watching by when the date the of the episode was?

My Trakt session randomly logged me out, and now when I try to log back in with the same email I used for my account, it just takes me to a new empty account. My original account had all my watch history, ratings, lists, etc., and I’ve been using it for years. I’m 100% sure I’m using the same email, so I have no idea why it’s creating a different account instead of letting me access my old one.
Has anyone else had this happen recently? Is there any way to recover the original account or link it back to my email? I already contacted support, but I wanted to ask here too since I’ve seen a few other people reporting the same issue.

Hello everyone. I am new to Stremio & Trakt, so any help is appreciated.
I recently set up Stremio and Trakt.
When I first configured my addon's in Stremio I had both Trakt Tv (v.0.2.7) and Trakt integration (v.1.0.0).
After configuring things the way I liked, and adding the lists I wanted, I now notice that I only have one Trakt app and that is Trakt Tv (v.1.1.0).
Where did Trakt integration go? And is it necessary?
What does Trakt integration do, because now I don't have that functionality.
This may be due to the 'migrate to new addon' button on the config page I used last night after adding some new lists. I don't know, I was half asleep when I was configuring things.
In summary I went from: Trakt Tv (v.0.2.7) + Trakt integration (v.1.0.0) > Trakt Tv (v.1.1.0).
In Settings > Apps > Connected Apps : I have one community add on listed, "stremio trakt addon".
Can anyone tell me if I have this set up correctly and what the purpose of Trakt Integration is?
I've searched the official Trakt forums, and I have looked for the Trakt Integration addon, but neither were successful.
