am i thick or is there no easy way to go to the previous or next episode anymore?

HI guys.. I would like to ask if there is a way to sort by both genre and the rating i gave what i watched. Like for example I want to check every horror movie and tv show ive logged on the site that i gave a 7 or higher. Is that possible and if not this is a big oversight no?. Ive tried with the main app and watcht and ripple to no avail.

TL;DR: I know this is intentional, but auto-removing shows from the watchlist as soon as I start them is frustrating, especially when new seasons come out after a long break. A setting to disable this would make the watchlist much more useful, at least from my point of view.

Before anyone says anything, I know this is an intended feature: items are automatically removed from the watchlist once we start watching them. My question is more like: am I the only one who is annoyed by this implementation?

To be fair, I like that movies are removed automatically. And normally, I’d also be fine with shows being removed automatically. The problem starts when a show gets a new season after a long break, and I’ve already forgotten that I was even watching it.

I know it should appear in Trakt Next, or whatever that list is called. But when I look at my watchlist, I want to see the movies and shows I’m planning to watch. And yeah, maybe I’m the weird one, but I’d also like to see shows there that still have seasons left, or expected future seasons, just so I know these are still things I intend to continue watching.

Could we please please get a setting that disables this automatic removal from the watchlist, or am I the only one annoyed by this? Thanks.

I’m new to the app (I just came from the horrible TV Time), and I’ve been trying to sign up for several minutes. But once I’m registered, I can’t use the app, only the web version.
Do you know how I can use my account on the app instead of the web version? Thanks!

So just now wanted to post in the forums, that as usual, their website feature isn't working (specifically, can't change notification settings) and it appears I've been banned. No reason, no notice, just pure corporate BS. Message says to contact site admin, which is nowhere to be found 🤦‍♂️

I still have a VIP subscription. Oh how much they hate when truth is told straight to their faces...

I guess I'll have to ask for a partial refund...

Just tried to send them a message via support email and got this:

What a pathetic company Trakt has become. And I just noticed, that creator of Trakt (Justin) is not even in the list of the team any more...

I just made a post both here on reddit and on the Trakt forums because Trakt took a show I had watched over several months and changed the watch date to the exact same date and time for every episode. That post was just removed by the moderators on reddit. Because of course it was. So I went to see if there was a response on the Trakt forum...

"There is a problem with your account. Please contact the site's administrator."

That is absolutely fucking pathetic. I complained about a bug. So you banned me from the forum.

I am having trouble importing stremio data into trakt. I set up trakt scrobbling in stremio and it is now accurately adding new stuff into trakt, however, my existing watchlist and history are not showing up in trakt. I downloaded the data from stremio as a JSON and tried uploading that into trakt, however the upload button grey's out once I add the file. I tried zipping the file and then repeated the process and the upload button is still greyed out. I am not sure how to proceed at this point.

A lot of features are coming back, and I want to believe that in a few months most of what’s missing will be back too, now with a much more interesting look.

I just noticed Trakt has move all 154 episodes of Futurama to 1 May 2026 14:38. Why? I know if I've seen something. I don't need Trakt to tell me I've seen Futurama. I need Trakt to tell me when I've seen Futurama. And the worst part... I finished the last episode a month ago. Why is it fucking with things I haven't interacted with in a month?

I'm really curious about the site re-design. People worked on that and it was approved and went live thinking it is better than the previous iteration? And as follow up question, how deluded are those people? :P

Whats better?

Are we able to do that anymore on the free tier? I can sort my lists, but can no longer save the preference, it seems. When I go back into the list, the preferred order goes back to default. Thanks.

I have made many comments on seasons instead of the full shows and episodes, and I can't find them anymore, did Trakt seriously delete all comments on seasons? I can't even see the rating I gave seasons anymore.

In the past you could just mark as watched or watching now.

2nd series of a show I watch just dropped, all epoxides are available online to watch but it's also being shown on live TV weekly.

In the past I could still mark the episodes as watched but now it seems like I can only mark the first episode, the one that's been on live TV as watched, the rest are showing on the site but can't be marked as watched.

Anyway to get around this?
