I just got back from looking at controllers. None of traktor kontrol in country so looked at flx4. It seemed to work but doing remixes on fly I need 3 decks a lot of the time. the recommendation was flx10. There's also a huge weight size and price difference. Does anyone have any issues on traktor using either flx4 or flx10. Thanks for your help helping me get a controller.

My Traktor Kontrol S2 MK3 powers on for about 3–4 seconds, then completely shuts off.

I already tried:

different USB cables (including a new one)

different USB ports

another PC

reinstalling/checking Traktor (device is detected briefly)

Same result every time: it lights up, then dies after a few seconds.

The controller is barely used and was working before. Any idea what could cause this?

What would you advise someone to do if they were in a situation where they would like to start playing around with a 3rd deck, have 2 technics 1200's, using an Audio 10 DJ and an X1 as an effects controller, and are thinking about trying to play out more often-Seeing the standard being the CDJ3000.

Would you advise to acquaint themselves with the new industry standard or get a simple controller (Z1?), or maybe a cheaper CDJ so long as it carries most of the bells and whistles for traktor. Being a turntable DJ all these years, I do like to retain the tactile feel of a deck and platter.

Should I just go for the 3000? I'm torn. The idea of being unfamiliar with gear when it comes time to throw down makes me anxious. I like to be prepared.

Hi, first of all for those who remember me, i got a S4MK3 with license included for a great price, afaik yall guys can suck it (joking)

Second of all, is it worth upgrading from traktor pro 3 to traktor pro 4, since I got the license for pro 3?

So my controller has the loop in and out buttons, and then a loop halving and a loop doubling button. However, sometimes I want to do polyrhythmic mixing, so I make a loop of, lets say 6 beats. When I press the halving button it doesn't decrease it to 3 but rather jumps to 2.

Is there a way to make it actually halve the loop regardless of its length? So to make a 14 beat loop halve to 7 beats, then to 3.5 beats?

hi. i want to prepare some of my own tracks for a hybrid live/dj performance and i want to grab loops from a track and put it into a remix deck. but obviously i don’t want to record a loop of the whole track but lets say for example only the vocal stem. but it doesn’t seem possible to record from stems, only from the whole track. is it me? am i missing something?

I just got my new mx-2. Surprisingly it has no jack output. I bought an rca-jack adapter but it's not working because my cables are balanced. I have an krk rokit 5 (5th gen) that has nothing but the balanced input. My question is: how can i connect my traktor to my monitors?

I’m doing a mix next week and I am using SYNC (sue me) MASTER set to 128BPM

Occasionally, usually after loading a track to a hotcue and waiting to drop it on the beat:
● One deck (only one) becomes completely unresponsive.
● Pressing Play on the S3 does nothing.
● Clicking Play in the Traktor UI also does nothing.
● The deck doesn’t spin or advance.
● The Sync indicator flashes intermittently.
● The phase meter behaves erratically.
● The other deck continues playing normally.
● After a fairly long period (tens of seconds or longer), the deck suddenly starts playing by itself without me touching anything.

This doesn’t appear to be a controller disconnect because the rest of Traktor continues working, and it isn’t just the hardware Play button - the on-screen Play button also fails.

I’m wondering whether this is a bug with the Master Clock/Sync engine, particularly when using the global Master Clock rather than deck-to-deck sync.
Has anyone seen this, or found a workaround? I’m also interested to know whether switching away from the Master Clock workflow solved it for anyone.

Long time Traktor user but was never much of an FX user, but trying to force myself to give it a try now to see if I can figure out how to (tastefully) incorporate FX into my mixing. I've always used the Filter quite extensively but not much beyond that. More recently, have been using some of the primary FX (the ones you can assign to the #1-4 buttons) like the Reverb, Dual Delay, and Time Gator. I'd say I'm relatively comfortable with those, although still figuring out when/how to use those effectively without it sounding cheesy.

What I am struggling more with is all the additional FX that you can assign to the specific "FX Units". I have a Kontrol S4 MK3 and recently got a Z1 and X1, and the X1 is what's causing me to want to at least give this stuff a legitimate try before just going back to my old "EQ & Filter only" approach that I had always been using.

Curious which of the other FX you guys like and any FX related tips you have for me. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I’m hoping to get back into DJing after 6 or 7 years away from it I was a novice bedroom DJ playing around on a DDJ-400. Had a great time mixing but ultimately put it down due to life stuff getting in the way. I’ve been on fb marketplace and came across a super clean looking traktor s3 for $250. I wasn’t even looking to pick up a 4 channel board as I’m not there yet, but can’t pass up on such a deal. My question as somebody who hasn’t ever owned traktor before, is an s3 still a good board to buy in 2026 if it comes with a traktor license? Thanks in advance.

So I've been mostly vinyl all my life. Been using Traktor since the days of Final Scratch but just sparingly. Now I'm getting more into The digital side, using control vinyls and learning more about it. I got a new laptop and made the huge rookie mistake of importing my ENTIRE music library into Traktor. Now I'm realizing that there's a large portion of this library that I'm never going to play at an event or record or mix. So now I'm at the point where I need to start over, but I don't want to lose my samples, loops and some of the stuff that I've already created. Any suggestions?

I was gifted a Traktor Kontrol S2 by a friend but i have a MacBook air made in 2020. I have no idea how to get the drivers I need because on the site the last update was in 2018? I’m new to this so I can’t give much more insight but any help would save me pls

I use Traktor for live mixes, and often use visualizers and room lighting to accompany my sets.

Many android visualizers lag, so I built an open-source visualizer using a low-level C++ audio engine for sub-10ms mic latency.

It supports Ableton Link over Wi-Fi so you can lock the visual effects directly to Traktor, Live, or Serato. The mic drives the textures, while Link synchronizes the beat grid. It also sends UDP commands directly to a local Philips Hue Bridge, syncing room lights instantly.

I've been using it with my setup, and the light syncing works better for me than the official Hue apps.

It is completely free, ad-free, and open-source. I need some testers who can try it out with their setup. If you can run it alongside your DJ software and test the Link sync - Great. But even if you can have a look at the visualisers, that would be great and just let me know if you have any feedback.

Hey all, Has anyone created a tool or good system for automatically backing up Traktor data? Would just hate to lose all those hours of prep!

I recently moved my library to an SD card on my macbook pro to take the strain off my harddrive and I've been having issues with songs missing ever since.

All files are on the SD card and show up in itunes/music but many of them are showing the "file cannot be played, the file may be missing or corrupted."

When I relocate the file it's fine for that session but it seems like its not being saved and the issue persists when I reopen traktor.

Has anyone had this issue and found a good fix for it? Ideally a way to automatically relocate all tracks.

I'm running Traktor Pro 3.8.0 on Mac os Catalina 10.15.7

I’m planning on setting up my room studio, but due to the lack of space I’ve decided to go with this gear and set up, will it work or will it just be a waste of money?
- Traktor pro on my laptop
- k3 connected to my laptop with type c cable
- sidekick connected to my laptop with type c
- headphones to sidekick
- speakers 3.5mm aux to master output of sidekick
Am I missing any steps here? Will it let me dj on my K3 while using sidekick as mixer/audio interface?
