Hi I’m trying to plan a trip from Miami to Sicily (preferably Catania airport) and I can’t seem to find any reasonably priced flights in $ or points. Look to travel around oct 1-13 2026 with some flexibility.

I have the most Amex points (platinum) also chase, BILT and capital one points. I also hold a citi AA card and Wells Fargo but not many points there. I checked fares on British Airways, Qatar, and others and they’re coming to 70k INR one-way which is really high for me right now.

I know some airlines offer staff travel coupons, student discounts, or buddy passes. If anyone here works with an airline and can help with a coupon code or point me in the right direction, I’d be super grateful.

What are your best tips for booking flights at a lower price? I already have multiple credit cards, so I can easily take advantage of bank/card offers.

But apart from those, are there any tricks that actually work—like which day or time to book, how far in advance, incognito/VPN, different booking sites, price alerts, etc.?

I am travelling with Alaska airline with 2 companions. I used 50% off coupon provided during Atmos summit card and booked other 2 tickets with summit card. Since I was using coupon could not book all 3 tickets together. I wanted to check if the two passengers can still get free checked bags since I used my Summit card to book their tickets? I see on some reddit that during check in, we can add free first bag as long as ticket was booked with Atmos Summit? Can anyone confirm?

If not, Is there other way? Can I link reservation?

I went recently to Pompeii and with my pre-booked tickets from Headout. I saw this plan: Pompeii + Vesuvius for 60€ and decided to take it as a quick decision (stressing time and I wanted to finish the holiday organisation soon. I see that more comparison would have saved me from some trouble).

When the day came, I arrived at Pompeii train station and went to the Pompeii entrance just to discover that I didn't have a ticket but a voucher to change for a ticket. This had to be done in an office +20min walking from there.

When I arrived at the office, they gave me 2 tickets with a total value of 31€... When I complained about the 60€ I paid, they told me that Headout had this commission and couldn't be cancelled.

Not to mention, the Vesuvius ticket had no transport and they offered me a private offer to go there, hiding the possibility of a public transport.

I complained through the customer support but they deny me any kind of reimbursement as everything was "clearly stated" at the moment of buying the tickets and that they are not obliged to sell it at the minimum price....

I just want to express my rage against this company and advise against using it at all.
