Just completed the run-in period

I got my Trident 800 about 10 days ago, and this weekend I took it on a ~250km ride from Saitama to Hakone, in the rain, to complete the run-in period.

One thing that happened last week is that I dropped it and the clutch lever broke, so I went and replaced the levers with foldable ones, because I'm sure that I will fuck up again (and again), and I prefer not to have to take it back to the dealer to replace a broken lever every few days. 😅

Hi guys,

Got my T800 just 2 weeks ago. Live in Istanbul, Turkey. Still on break in period. This bike is a blast! Had MT09 for a while so i can compare, much more comfortable, (more than) enough power for everything. Really like the stock sound (but not the exhaust, looks cheap). Also lower seat height is a big plus for me (1.70m). Break in will be done next week, so i'll see how it goes.

Have fun!

Big Trident

Upgraded from the 660 to it's big brother, looking forward to opening it up once it's fully run in

NBD photo

Picked up a Trident 800 after the demo days. Moved from a lightweight ADV, and it’s a hoot.

Joined the Family Over the Weekend

Went to a demo day a week ago and immediately got things rolling to buy. Just got her this weekend, already 1/3 through break in.

Yellow 800

Done for now. The grey/red wasn't for me, I like the yellow much better!

Urgent: recall incoming

Just posted to Facebook by a member from Europe: on the upper end of the Quick Shifter, the rubber hose is wearing off and a hole will form. This is due to friction between the hose and the QS.

I used duct tape because mine was showing significant wear.

They could issue a recall or advisory notice. It's one of the breather hoses and if it's fuel related, a hole could spill fuel on your pants and/or boots and could be a safety issue.

Radiator leak

From new I had noticed a sweet bubblegum or fairy liquid smell when stopped at traffic lights and wondered what it was. Then after my 600 mile service, the next day went into garage and found a tiny coolant droplet on the floor. After further investigation I tracked it down to this fixing where the radiator plastic mount onto. As you can see it’s coming from the bottom so unsure if these fixings are tapped/screwed in with a rubber gasket or if they are welded. Either way I’m taking it to dealer to tomorrow and hope this is a warranty item.
