Board Rev E ram upgrade

I have a trs80 color with a board number ending in "E." My friend and I went through the ram upgrade process with tested 4116 ram. Followed instructions and tested before clipping caps as machine should show 32k with ram swapped. Machine would not boot properly. Triple checked jumpers. Has anyone performed the ram upgrade on a rev E board who could guide me? Machine came to me showing 8k ram

Is there a refrence cart for coco?

Is that a reference design for a cartridge for the color computer?

- 8k paging

- 1mb or more memory

Ability to program via a cable? Eeprom?

Newest addition to the family

Trs-80 Color arrived yesterday. it looked like Ace Venture disguised as a UPS driver delivered it, however it was undamaged. Not a bad price for something that was sold as not working.
