I have a premium family account and a 13 year old who I want to restrict the amount of TIME she spends watching videos. I'm not overly concerned with the content....as she is in high school and we are quite a liberal household. However, I am concerned with the "brain rot" of it all. I can set up time limits for apps on her phone, but want her to have unlimited access to music. That has become a problem now that Spotify has turned into mini TikTok, so I want to block the videos. The issues I'm running into is that: 1. She is 13 so technically not a child to Spotify. and 2. I want her to be able to listen to podcasts.

I just heard a spotify ad that said "It's never too early for christmas music."

My response is "oh yes it is, its always too early for christmas music. I don't want that stuff on my radio."

Also r/spotify auto deleted this comment, annoying.

Hey everyone,
Wondering if anyone here has experienced something similar.
DistroKid recently removed two of my albums and gave my account a copyright strike. They claimed that one of my tracks samples Rob Zombie and another samples Draco Rosa.
I was completely confused because I wrote/recorded the music myself and have never sampled either artist.
After listening to the tracks they referenced, I figured out what seems to have triggered the matches: short atmospheric sound effects at the ends of my songs. One has a thunder effect and the other has a wind effect. Apparently the same or very similar SFX also appear in those artists’ recordings.
These effects were sourced independently years ago and were definitely not taken from either of those songs.
I explained all of this to DistroKid support and offered to provide project files, stems, masters, etc. I’m currently waiting for their response, but both albums are still down and the copyright strike is still on my account.
Has anyone dealt with a false copyright match like this through DistroKid? Did they eventually restore your releases and remove the strike?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Anyone have any idea if there is a way to stop AI music from coming up on my Spotify? I always hit the three dots and then exclude from my music taste when it comes up on my discover weekly, but it still comes up when I smart shuffle.

Sorry, this may seem petty, but I wanted to listen to Nobody's Girl by Virginia Giuffre. First of all Spotify was on repeat literally every 5 Seconds saying sign up for Spotify to listen to this book and then when I signed up I went to go listen to it and it tried to charge me

While playing Spotify, my iPhone gets very warm and the battery drains quickly. I force-closed the app, deleted and reinstalled it but the issue persists. Once I stop using the app, the phone cools down again.
