Bro vnr cbit ani waste please stop stressing over these clgs 🙏🏻🙏🏻 they're like tier 69 clgs
Hey,
Recently I have been getting a lot of DMs for doubt related to my clg. While I check their profile, I find most of them are active here.
So I have graduated form KMIT in 2025.
Please comment any questions you have I'll answer.
I got 8.8k rank . BC-D male .
Thought that I'd KMIT AI/ML but I think that I wont be getting it .
This might be a big one, but consider this as helping a brother out . Please answer as many as you can and try to be honest please .
How are the lecturers at CVR College of Engineering? Friendly? Qualified? Actually knowledgeable or just reading PPTs?
How are the placements overall? Which companies regularly visit the campus for placements?
How is the peer group? Competitive and ambitious or mostly casual/chillar crowd?
Is there a strong coding culture? Hackathons, coding clubs, competitive programming, open-source, etc.?
How are the campus and classrooms? Do they feel modern or school-like?
How strict is the management regarding attendance, dress code, permissions, phones, timings, etc.?
How much freedom do students actually get?
Does the college support students who want to do more (projects, internships, startups, coding competitions), or does it suppress talent?
How easy is it to get internships from the college? Does the placement cell help?
How are the opportunities outside academics — tech events, networking, workshops, industry exposure?
Would you personally regret graduating from CVR? Why or why not?
If CVR is best at one thing, what would that be?
Are students there mostly focused on placements, higher studies, or just getting the degree?
How good is the training for placements (DSA, aptitude, mock interviews, resume help, etc.)?
Is the college environment motivating for someone aiming for high packages/product-based companies?
Are there students getting genuinely good placements through skill (not just mass recruiter jobs)?
How is the college reputation among recruiters in Hyderabad?
How much free time do students get for self-learning and coding outside academics?
Are faculty supportive if you miss classes for internships, hackathons, or competitions?
How is the crowd in CSE-related branches specifically?
Are there unnecessary assignments/records that waste time?
How is the overall vibe of the college — stressful, chill, competitive, toxic?
If you had the same rank again, would you still choose CVR over colleges like KMIT, GRIET, VNR, etc.? Why?
For someone who is very placement-oriented and wants to grind coding seriously, would you recommend CVR?
okay guys i scored like 71k in eamcet
ik not that much to get a decent clg but I need a clg with nice crowd
i really don't care about the other technical stuff but a nice crowd clg under 15 lakhs
any suggestions???
I was absent for my practical exams and I just got my hall ticket. They helped us in my college during the exams but now my exam is in a government college. Will I still get help?
So, in this post let us just put all the management seat fee which each of the EAMCET college is asking so that it would be easy to compare all of them
So don't just type random numbers which u heard from your frnds or last year numbers. If u have gone to college or spoke with admission officer put it down here
Let's make it easier for someone to compare between colleges and make some better decisions
Put the numbers branch wise
I'll start with gctc
CSE, CSE-AIML - 6 lakh
CSE-DS, CYBERSEC etc... - 4.5 lakhs
And they told ECE EEE seats are filled already...
is it worth joining aeronautical engineering in present time, what will be careers for it, if any seniors doing it please let me know

Hey everyone,
I'm a TS EAMCET aspirant considering **Metallurgical Engineering (or Metallurgy & Materials Engineering)** at JNTUH (main campus or affiliated college?).
I have a few specific questions:
**Placements** — What’s the reality for core Metallurgy jobs vs mass recruiters? Average/highest package in recent years? Which companies visit for this branch?
**Curriculum & Faculty** — Is the course updated? Good labs/facilities? How tough is it compared to Mech/Civil?
**Future Scope** — Options after B.Tech (M.Tech, MS abroad, core jobs in steel/auto/defence, or switching to IT/software)? Any seniors who did well?
**Campus Life** — Hostels, attendance, ragging (if any), overall environment for this branch.
**Worth it?** — I’m getting this branch with my rank. Should I take it or go for a better branch in a private college? Any regrets from current students?
Background: My rank is 80k bca boy interested in [core materials field / or open to other options].
Thanks in advance! Any current students or recent alumni from this branch, please reply.
i j talked to VNR admission office and they said even for category B , they will only consider candidates who scored below 1 lakh rank in jee mains :(
and vasavi clg admission numbers aren't even working omg, wat r they even doing. when I'm calling their number, it's saying that this number doesn't exist or it doesn't ring or when it rings, none lifts. omg I'm so frustrated
my brother's teacher resigned from CBIT it seems. he said that the clg is not good now. so i don't wanna apply for CBIT
WAT R THE OTHER TOP COLLEGES FOR ECE IN TELANGANA IN ORDER WISE ?
edit: PLEASE UPVOTE. since there r many posts asking for a clg recc, this post might be helpful for them too. even if u r not aware on wat to comment, ur upvote will make it reach the ryt person. tq :)
hi guys , yes its me timewing who was very much active during eamcet lol
so i got 23K rank , yes ik i might get smtg in last rounds and all , but still I am choosing GITAM ( no i won't regret my desicion ) here are the reasons
PROS-
~this college has many pros bro ,
good campus , a memorable college life , events and what not
but most importantly , the only thing i need is free time , cuz i need to learn skills , because right now what the companies are looking is NOT what college are u studying in , it doesnt matter at all , unlike in other eamcet colleges , u have to follow a strict timetable to study ( ngl i dont like stuff like that , cuz iam a self learner since like prolly 10th lol)
~ GITAM isn’t strict like many other engineering colleges. You usually get 2+ free hours a day (not counting lunch), and sometimes just one class the entire day. If you use this time smartly, you can build serious skills .You can leave or enter the campus anytime – no gate restrictions. That’s a big pro, but also a con if you misuse the freedom.
~the faculty is good too , and the english is top notch
and also this college is good for who ever wanna go abroad to pursue masters or MS ( which is me lol) , the main complaint of eamcet colleges is that the language barrier for few students , and the telugu usage is a lot and the english is not good , english is must for job interviews and stuff , lack it , u lose it
~freedom is good too , u can go whenever u want , which is honeslty good for people who have health issues ( i have sinus and heavy mental health and other issues which is a major pro to me , cause i need to end up in hospital for few days , cuz i am a very weak person regarding health)
BUT if u misuse the freedom u end up fucking ur future fr
~ also i am a major in classical dance and stuff , so most of the time i have to go to many programmes and stuff , and many auditions too ( ik lol , might be amusing) , so the freedom is worth it for me personally
CONS-
~mismanagement at times , it can be frustrating yes ik
~fees are 16l + total , ( scholarships can be pro , but u need to manage the cgpa which is hard , but if u are serious about ur parents money then yes work hard)
~(Fees When I joined, the fee felt reasonable considering the faculty, infrastructure, and freedom the college offered. But now, looking at the current fee structure, I personally feel it's on the higher side, especially when compared to the kind of placements most students are getting. It’s something juniors should definitely factor in while deciding.)
~a senior gitamite's words are above
~i mean people are buying seats ( management) worth 8-16 lakhs and plus the original fees , i mean all that money for a eamcet college? personally i feel not worth it bro , maybe for you idk man ( no offence tho , eamcet colleges are good too but yeah)
~oh and yes i did see in their gitam sub , that about reval they are taking too much money and wantedly reducing marks and stuff , yeah that is a major con tho
~the 75 percent attendance might be frustrating for few tho
~ Final Thoughts:
~There’s a lot to explore here – projects, clubs, hackathons, and events. If you can balance fun and learning, there’s honestly no better college experience.I've seen people use GITAM in the best way possible and land great jobs. But I’ve also seen many waste the flexibility and regret it later. If you’re joining – be intentional. The environment is here, but the outcome is all on you.
~btw I used few lines from a senior alumini shoutout to that person!
~and yeah i know people will give comments like - gitam ahh , bro pothav ra babu pothav ani , but my personality and stuff and my parents are insisiting too so , its no problem for me , and my senior ( my fathers friends son) too he got a good rank in eamcet last year , and 96 percent in jee , ended up joining GITAM for the self learning atmosphere
~this might help few people , so intended of putting up this post
