GCET Review By your Senior.

Hello everyone, been a part of this community for more than a year, I'm a Gcet second year ECE student. If y'all have any questions about the college you can ask me.

Well if you ask me about this college. It's the absolute midddd like mid Colllege ever , there's nothing good about it but a lots and lots of mediocre and outright bad things, for example you are not allowed to walk around even in the campus, the classroom is your only place , they will fine you and publicly shame you in front of everyone if seen talking with someone from the opposite gender, there's only one canteen and the food is absolute trash. A faculty failed me because one time in this class, he didn't want to explain so he just told everyone to study by themselves, so i started to study using ai and he shouted in front of the class in front of everyone and then later failed me in that subject for no fault of me at all. The faculty fail everyone even though you have no fault. Oh also this college has a rule where atleast 20 people must fail in a semester in a random from a class no matter what, these 20 people are chosen randomly from the class and can be anyone. This is done so they can pay the supplementary fee.

Yea even the placements are mediocre most of them get 4 lpa and the placement percentage is like 25 percent. No core companies visit.

Yea if you have any questions be free to ask me

What college should I join ?

I have cvr college cse as option and SRM ktr ... I feel like both are same in terms of placements , srm ktr has a bit too much fees and less ROI to compensate for that it has better campus life I feel .. and I think srm has better student environment ... and there are lot of doubt as its a private college

College Fees increased

Around 35 of the college have increased their fees. They've taken court order and got it done. Out of this 35 around 11 are from malla reddy and co.

I've read the whole order for CBIT. Earlier their fees is 1,83,000. Now they've applied for 3.5L but they got 2,23,000 as their new fees for the next 3 year

Also they've mentioned that CBIT can increase their fees to 3.5L in the near future with prior judgement with TG High Court

Pls check the detailed fee notification for these stuff from the TG EAMCET website.

This is a huge thing. Around 10 days ago some 8 or so colleges have increased their fees. Not it's 35. But tomorrow we can expect this number to reach 40 if not 50. They're college like VJIT, IARE, Gurunanak, CMR, MLR, Malla Reddy, HITAM, VNR, MGIT and so on

How can an average parent afford these fees for their children. Also these fees have become somewhat close to Deemed University. So we can expect so what a decline in EAMCET college admission, as from a fees point of view, both EAMCET and Deemed University have approximately same fee

Keeping this aside. There's no proper communication from the college or the convenor. They just uploaded a document with list of various court order. That's it.

How can a student from a rural region know about this fee increase.

I think we need to raise our voice about it

Gcet is supposedly the worst college

I hate this college and it’s lecturer specially this venkat ramana sir of data science department who keeps tormenting and insulting girls and comparing them with his own daughter
He throws comment on girls dresses and behaviour stating “ammai kada nuvu”, “stand like a girl”, “i wouldnt let my daughter wear that”, “girls look good in salwar kameez”, “girls are not supposed to drive they should let their parents drop them to college”. He’s so sexist and misogynist
My friend also reported that he is Islamophobic as well. Ugh please dont join this college.

second thoughts

The only reason I chose NGIT is good placements, lower fees, and it's close to home. Now I am having second thoughts because my parents and their network barely know about it, and they are leaning towards ECE more. I feel like ECE would be hard for me but manageable. I don't know what to do now.

Can u please suggest any other options I can consider at 11k rank bc-b?
I might get CVR Cybersecurity and BVRIT Data Science and snist cs, iare cs, MGIT ECE apart from ngit
but cvr bvrit and MGIT are around 1.6L and above.

i heard like there is no fee or 50 % off for ppl under 12k rank in geethanjali, idk about it,tell me if u know

TG EAPCET Mock Allotments are out today: Why you shouldn't celebrate too early or panic over the result (And what to do between July 5 and July 7)

Hey everyone,

With the TG EAPCET Phase 1 Mock Allotment results releasing today, I know the anxiety levels are through the roof across family WhatsApp groups and Reddit right now.

Half of you might be looking at your screen, seeing CSE at a top college, and feeling ready to celebrate. The other half might be staring at a much lower college than expected, or worse, a "No Seat Allotted" message, feeling completely hopeless.

Before you start distributing sweets or getting depressed, take a step back. A mock allotment is strictly a simulation, not your actual seat.

In fact, the final Phase 1 seat allotment coming out by July 10 will look noticeably different from what you see on your screen today. Here is exactly why the mock results change, how human psychology plays into it, and how you should adjust your strategy over the next 72 hours.

1. Why the final allotment will shift (The Domino Effect)

The entire purpose of today's mock release is to act as a wake-up call for students who made mistakes during choice filling.

Right now, thousands of students across Telangana just realized two things:

  • They gave way too few options (official data shows nearly 8,700 candidates missed out on seats in today's mock round purely because they only entered 10 or 15 choices).
  • They accidentally placed average colleges higher up in their preference sequence than top tier campuses.

Because the option editing window is open from July 5 to July 7, nearly every student who got a bad seat or no seat today is going to log back into the portal tomorrow morning. They will add dozens of new college choices, delete mistakes, and aggressively rearrange their priority sequence.

When thousands of candidates above and below your rank shift their choices over the next three days, the entire seat matrix reshuffles. A seat that looks guaranteed to you today could easily get scooped up by a higher ranker who forgot to add that college in their initial draft.

2. If you got a great seat today: Do NOT get overconfident

If you got a seat you love in today's mock run, that is a great sign that your rank is strong. However, do not assume it is permanently locked in.

  • Check the options above your mock seat: Remember, the algorithm checks from top to bottom. If you got your Option #8 today, the system will try to upgrade you to Options 1 through 7 during the final run if a vacancy opens up. Make 100% sure that every single option listed above your current seat is a college you genuinely prefer more than your mock allotment.
  • Do not delete all your lower backup options: Just because you got Option #8 today does not mean you should delete Options 9 to 50 tomorrow. If a few higher rankers add your Option #8 college over the next two days, the cutoff might push you slightly down during the actual July 10 allotment. Keep your safety nets intact.

3. If you got a bad seat or "No Allotment" today: Do NOT panic

If your screen shows no seat allotted or a branch you have zero interest in joining, take a deep breath. Today's result just saved you from making a permanent mistake. You have three full days to fix your list.

  • Dramatically increase your total options: If you entered 20 options, bump it up to 60 or 80+. Add related branches like Information Technology, Cyber Security, Data Science, or AI and Machine Learning in good campuses.
  • Fix your order immediately: Stop putting average colleges at the very top out of fear. Put your absolute dream colleges at the top (Options 1 to 15), your realistic matches in the middle (Options 16 to 45), and your solid safety fallbacks at the bottom (Options 46 to 70+).
  • Remember the auto-freeze deadline: Whatever sequence sits in your portal by the evening of July 7 will automatically freeze and lock for the final Phase 1 allotment.

Final Word

Treat today's result like a practice match. It shows you where your current web options list is strong and where it is leaking points.

Use the July 5 to July 7 editing window wisely, talk it out with your peers or seniors, expand your choices, and wait for the official July 10 allotment before drawing any final conclusions. All the best, everyone.

Let me know if you have any doubts, happy to help :)

Chusi panic aypokandi mama. Look at this massive rank variation across phases from last year (Real data proof inside)

Hey guys,

I am seeing a ton of panic posts on the sub today regarding the TG EAPCET mock allotments. People who expected premium branches are completely stressed out because the mock cutoffs look way too tight and brutal.

Before you lose your sleep over it, take a second to look at this screenshot.

I highlighted a perfect real-world example of how the counseling algorithm actually behaves as the rounds progress. This exact data shows the closing ranks for the VNR VJIET CSE branch under the OC_GEN_UR category. Just a quick reminder: this is the UnReserved quota, so do not confuse it with the standard OC_GEN_OU local region quota.

Look at how wildly the closing cutoffs shifted across the phases in 2025:

  • Phase 1 Closing Rank: 495
  • Phase 2 Closing Rank: 1,065
  • Final Phase Closing Rank: 1,514

Think about that for a second. The cutoff rank literally tripled from the first phase to the final phase. It drifted from a tight 495 all the way down to 1,514 for the exact same top-tier branch. Doesn't mean it happened every year, but we can give a thought around it.

Why does this massive jump happen?

It is pure backup strategy. The high rankers who are sweeping up all the premium seats in today's mock round did not just write EAPCET. The vast majority of these toppers have secured excellent JEE ranks too. Their actual targets are top IITs, NITs, and IIITs through JoSAA or CSAB counseling.

But nobody wants to stay empty-handed. So, they fill out their state web options and attend the early phases of TG EAPCET counseling just to keep a premier local college seat as a bulletproof safety net. They hold onto these seats through the initial rounds.

However, as the national university counseling rounds advance and these toppers finally lock down their seats at an NIT or IIT, they drop their state choices. They are forced to cancel their EAPCET seats before the final phase begins, causing the seat matrix to rapidly clear out.

The takeaway for everyone stressing today

Right now, you are looking at a mock allotment. It represents the absolute worst-case compression scenario because the list is packed with high rankers who will never actually step foot inside these state college classrooms.

We still have three major actual steps to go: Phase 1, Phase 2, and the Final rounds. As the phases roll on, seats naturally unlock, and the cutoffs relax significantly, exactly like the VNR trend shown in image.

So stop panicking over a trial run. Use the current edit window until July 7 to fix any bad priority ordering, make sure your list has enough backup safety colleges at the bottom, and let the rounds play out. Things are going to look completely different by the time the later phases kick in.

is the result which is shown in the mock seat allotment likely to be the final or is there any chance we can get a better seat than that??
