“King Eternal” has long been my favorite song by TV on the Radio. Like since the release of Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes, nothing has ever displaced it for me. There’s a real paucity of live recordings of the song available afaict (though, please do reply with any you’re aware of beyond the Toronto ‘04 show and the NYC show in Sept of ‘03), which is a shame, but anyway, onto the question. In the final stanza of the song, we get:
