Title: 20NB in Minnesota looking for new friends :)

Hi! I’m 20 and from Minnesota looking to meet some new people to talk to or hopefully become friends with. I’m really into anime/manga, movies, music, gaming, shopping, and just hanging out. I listen to a lot of alt R&B, anime openings, and random playlists depending on the mood lol.

Transplant- Looking to meet people and find community!

Im 27F, recently moved to St Paul from Michigan. While my (newly wed) husband's friends are great, I'm looking to make my own friends closer to my age whom I share interests with.

I only just finished my masters degree and haven't found work yet so I'm mostly fostering itty bitty kittens, gardening, making jewelry and playing video games.

But I'd like to get back to enjoying my nightlife, city lights, underground scenes/clubs, impromptu tattoo appointments and the likes with fun people. The midwest is very different from my life back in India and it's been driving me nuts lol

I'm a ciswoman, queer, very non-judgemental, open minded, spontaneous, musician/poet, body art enthusiast, psychonaut with killer playlists. Plus you're welcome to hang out with really tiny foster kittens and our dogs.

Looking for Extroverted Gaming Friends who love LAN parties

Hey Twin Cities friends,

We have a private discord centered around connecting local TC gamers that want to play online together, have meetups, and love LAN parties. The group was started by a few core friends and has grown to a couple dozen cool people.

There is currently a bi-weekly LAN party going on and our first BIGLAN 2026 coming up in June. BIGLAN will be reoccurring each month with around 12 people if all goes well.

What we are looking for are people who would like to be an active member of our super awesome club and aren't afraid of joining us for impromptu game nights, being active in channels, and helping us grow.

Current games we play are Arc Raiders, Counter strike 2, Baldurs Gate 3, Left 4 Dead 2, Helldivers, Battlefield 4, and many others. We also have dedicated Valheim and Unreal Tournament 2004 servers.

Most of us are guys in their 30s-40s who have regular jobs, partners, and many are in the tech field.

- If this sounds like a good fit then feel free to send me a DM here or Reach out to me on discord- "the_winter_warden"

Thanks for making it this far and look forward to hearing from some of you! - Alex

Learning how to skate/ride a bike?

Somewhat embarrassing, but as im trying to knock off bucket list items, I was wondering if anyone would be willing to spend some time with me and help me learn either how to ride a skateboard or how to ride a bike? I never learned when I was younger and feel like I’ve been missing out on so much! I’d be super appreciative of anyone, even if you just give some advice in the comments below! Thanks.

Gaming?

Hey, all!

On mobile so formatting might be weird?

I’m looking for gaming friends! My ultimate goal is to not only make online friends but also IRL as well but that can happen naturally and I’m in no particular rush.

A little about me:

I’m a male in my early 30s. I work pest control and enjoy my job as I help give people their homes back. I’m neither a political nor a religious person but I respect people’s choices and I’d hope you respect mine as well. I’m a music lover, many genres but electronic has always been my go-to. I partake in raves so there’s a good possibility we’ve jammed out at some point over the last few years if you’re a part of that scene. I started learning Japanese a couple weeks ago! Been watching anime for 27 years now and my ultimate goal is to become proficient and go take my JLPT and score an N2 or N3.

I play on PC and use Discord but also have a PS5.

I play a wide variety of games but some of my favorites, as of recent, would be Rocket League, Path of Exile 2, Slay The Spire 2, Palworld, Minecraft, and Everything Is Crab. I love MMORPG games as well. Both Oldschool RuneScape and Final Fantasy 14 are my favorite experiences.

I guess that’s about it! Making a post like this is what helped me find my friend group down in Florida so I’m hoping for some good results in my home state!

Newcomer advice

Hey everyone, moving out to the Bloomington area in June fresh out of college. Don’t know anyone or much about the area. Any recommendations on things to do/ways to make friends? I love watching sports(football, baseball, hockey) and playing guitar and being outside. I want to get into playing hockey but I’ve never done it before so that’s a bit scary. Any advice would be great!

Places to socialize - 35M

Trying to get out of my comfort zone and be in more social environments to talk to random people engage in conversation and what not. I live basically in Maple Grove but a hop and skip from BP New Hope and Crystal. Not very similar age demographics.

Wondering where the (not cowboy jacks 😂) bars and such are in like North Loop, downtown, etc. I’m literally going solo so I do have to take that into consideration also.

Older crowds

Looking at joining in an upcoming MN Mingle meetup event. I’m 49 and determined to fight the slide from introvert to hermit. Have many of you tried these and would you care to share your experience? Looking at the Maple Grove event next week.

Looking for friends near St Paul

Giving this one more go (please read the whole post, my inbox is always flooded by people who don't read it)

I've been in St Paul for three months, originally from CA. I'm looking for some kind, chill buddies around my age to hang out with, so please be close by.

So a little about me: I love reading, painting, cooking and baking, and a lot more! I’m a bit of a jack of all trades. I enjoy hiking when I have the chance and enjoy nature. For hanging out, I love going out to eat, watching movies, or just relaxing at a cafe. I also love homebody activities like watching TV or a good puzzle. I'm pretty inclusive, and am chill with people of various backgrounds

What about you? I'm 23 so someone between the ages of 20-29. I don't drink or smoke, so I might not be the best friend for someone who mostly does that. But if you're respectful, down to chill or have a cute day out in the town, and have a few hobbies you really care about, I'm sure we can become friends.

If you want to hang out, feel free to DM or comment with a full introduction of yourself! If you want to try to find other people to meet, comment so people know to reach out. I look forward to meeting you!

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for specific apartment recommendations in Minneapolis area. I’m trying to find a place that has a good mix of lifestyle, community, and location.

Ideally, I’d like to be close enough to green spaces for biking and general exercise like the Chain of Lakes, Theodore Wirth Park, river trails, or similar outdoor areas. At the same time, I still want to be reasonably close to lively neighborhoods like North Loop, Northeast, Uptown, Downtown, or other areas with restaurants, bars, events, and things going on.

I’m also hoping to find a building with more of a social/community environment for people in their late 20s and 30s. Somewhere with a fun, friendly vibe where residents actually meet each other through resident events, rooftop/pool/social spaces, fitness areas, game nights, or just a generally outgoing community.

A few things I’m prioritizing:

\- Good maintenance and responsive management
\- Clean, well-kept building
\- Social/community feel for 20s/30s
\- Close to parks, lakes, trails, or biking routes
\- Reasonable access to North Loop, Northeast, Uptown, Downtown, or other lively areas
\- Amenities that help people meet: rooftop, pool, gym, courtyard, club room, events, etc.
\- A building that feels active and friendly

Does anyone have specific apartment buildings they’d recommend based on personal experience? I’d especially appreciate feedback on management, maintenance, resident vibe and whether the community actually feels social.

Also open to buildings or property managers to avoid.

Thanks in advance!
