This was the first night.

People had come to Costa Rica from different places, some knowing almost nobody else in the room.

Then somebody started singing.

And of course, because they were choir people, everybody else joined in.

I love this photo because nobody looks like they're trying to create a “special moment.”

It just happened.

This is probably my favorite part of organizing a choir festival.
