Is it normal for my bag to fill up so fast after I eat?

I'm 9 months preop I've learned alot but never asked this question. For example tonight I had roast beef and mashed potatoes for supper. After I ate I did my dishes then read my messages on my phone. So about 45 minutes or so when I felt my pouch checked it, it was puffed up and half full. It's pretty much the norm after my meals. Is it possible I digest my food that fast and fills my pouch. I really don't understand the "plumbing" part of having an ileostomy. Is it normal and why if or if not? I'd appreciate some education.

Using barrier cream

I've been using barrier cream for a little while and thought I was applying it properly. I was originally using tegaderm to secure my wafer but I switched to barrier extenders because they are better for my skin but the edges would always lift a little. My whole appliance fell off in the shower once because water got in. I ended up reading about applying the cream. I was putting it on then wiping off any excess. But turns out I was using too much and even though I was wiping off the excess I read to also buff it in a circular motion with a Kleenex. I changed yesterday and I looked today and my barrier extenders aren't lifting at all. Just thought I'd share. I'm 9 months preop and still learning.

First day trying Flonase for my adhesive allergy

So I got up this morning first thing so there was no chance of output coming out messing up everything and changed my 2 piece system. I googled how to properly use the Flonase. Glad I did because it was important to put barrier cream over the flonase so the adhesive can't penetrate the skin through the Flonase. I made sure I was dry after each stage even used a blow dryer for the first time. I wanted to do everything right so I could know if the Flonase works. I was itchy after my change but I'm always itching after I clean and put a new wafer on. So within an hour the itching got better, now hours later feeling pretty comfortable. So far so good. Bedtime will be the true test that's when I itch the most for some reason. I'm pretty hopeful I finally found the solution. Thanks to this community where I hot the advice to try it. I've spoke to nurses and my doctor about this and none of them suggested Flonase.
