Why is finding a cofounder still so difficult despite having hundreds of online communities?

I've been trying to build startups, side projects, and AI products for a while now, and honestly, finding the right people has been harder than building the actual product.

There are plenty of talented developers, designers, marketers, and AI builders out there.

The problem is finding people who are actually interested in building something, have complementary skills, and won't disappear after a few days.

Because of that, me and a few friends started thinking about building a community/workspace focused specifically on finding teammates and launching projects together.

Something where people could find cofounders or teammates, join short build sprints similar to game jams, showcase previous projects, and form teams around validated ideas.

Before we spend time building it, I'd love to hear from people who've been through this.

What's been your biggest frustration when looking for collaborators online?

And are there any communities, platforms, Discords, Telegram groups, or other tools that you've tried but felt didn't really solve the problem?
