A realistic basil/mint fragrance - Basil as the main accord- I need advice

Hello to all,

I need your advice. If I want to create a perfume that smels like basil and mint. The problem is that my expert perfumer said that it will smell like soap, which I do not want. So here is the ideea. Please advise.

I am trying to find a good formula for a basil based perfume where the basil itself is the star. I also want to add mint as a supporting aroma. Mint is destined only for support. It is not intended to be just a fresh frangrance but one that starts sunny but ends with depth and maybe some gravitas. You know, something that reminds you of church basil but with a sunny side. The issue is that mint is very recognizable and tends to cover everything.

I am using Basil Eo, - linalool type- the main essence, spearmint, a tiny touch of peppermint, bergamot and a splash of lime for a fresh feeling, stemone for the crushed leaf effect, Linalool to add to the basil, Hedione for air diffusion,  Iso E super for structure or maybe Silkwood, Virginia Cedar wood plus a soft musk in the base.

I have been experimenting with ratios between Basil Eo, Linalool and Stemone to see if I cand get closer to the smell of real basil green leaves crushed between your fingers. I am not posting the exact percentages since it is a work in progress.

The idea behind it is to smell like basil with a mint facet. So my questin is what materils did you find useful in creating a basil accord that stand out? I am in love with basil, and always thought the is the scent of heaven.
