Tension alopecia

Hi guys, I have 1metre long thick hair and it is very healthy. I barely style it; however this year I’ve done 7 styles for modelling purposes however I always tried to be very selective and was stopping due to wanting to not damage my hair.

However unfortunately for me the last hair style was a high pony tail. I took the hair style out after 4 hours and I had a massive lump which turned into pus and 16 days later, it looks like the inflammation is gone however I have had a bit of hair loss.

I went to a dermatologist and he said it could be caused from the tension or it could be auto immune. I’m terrified it could be my immune system but I doubt it, because it only happened after the up style. However he can’t confirm without a biopsy. He said he’s confident my hair will grow back and prescribed me cream. Also that some more will fall out. And I hate brushing my hair because I notice a lot more fall out.

I just want to know your opinions on if you think my bald spot will get worse, or if you think it’s just subjected to the one spot. I’m scared I’ll get more hair loss, and it’ll somehow worsen. The 2 images are 16 days apart. I’d also love to hear your experiences.
