Where Can Americans Travel Without a Passport?
I keep seeing people ask this, especially those who want an easy getaway without dealing with international passport requirements.
For U.S. citizens, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands are popular options because they are U.S. territories. You can also travel to places such as Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands without a passport in many circumstances.
Puerto Rico is probably the easiest option if you want that “international vacation” feeling without actually leaving the U.S. — beaches, great food, historic towns, and no passport needed for U.S. citizens.
What would you choose for a passport-free trip: Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, or somewhere else?
I'm curious what destinations people here would recommend.
