my frog was AGGRESSIVE with me?

ok guys. this is a weird one. bear with me. this is schnitzel my 8 mo F whites tree frog. she is the sweetest and clingiest girl. like really. never peed on me, never showed any signs of discomfort, learned to jump in my hand, etc etc. she’s my baby. yesterday i noticed some blue on her belly and realized they might be EGGS. anyways, today i noticed a hair tangled on her foot so i put my hand in to get it off. instead of her usual friendly greeting, she just hopped away. i kept trying to get the hair and she kept jumping away. then she suddenly turned around to face my hand and started LUNGING and it and trying to bite. it was NOT her normal eating bite either (just trust me). i left her alone after that but im a little shaken. could she be feeling more defensive because of her eggs? she’s just going to absorb them because she can’t lay them, but could it be messing with her hormones? are frogs hormonal? i have no clue.

ps. i promise my frogs are my absolute BABIES and i would never try to stress them out! i feel terrible that i scared her. i would like to figure this out so i can avoid stressing my girl in the future! please be kind :)
