Do People Read AO3 WIPs?
Genuine question, do people not read WIP fics as much anymore? I just posted the first chapter for my Heated Rivalry Hollanov fic (it’s finished and I’ll be posting a new chapter weekly), but it’s only gotten 24 hits and 2 kudos. I posted a photo above for reference.
I know it’s still very new so things can change, but I just found the lack of engagement a little surprising because I wasn’t used to it.
I haven’t posted a wip in years since I’ve mostly been writing one shots, so I was just trying to figure out if this was standard or if I should maybe try and tag better.
Thoughts? Do you read unfinished fics?
