Hi everyone! By chance does anyone know how to guarantee you’re roommates at sol? Like do you have to pay extra or say something to them specifically. I really really want to have an apartment with my bestfriend but I’m scared since we signed a lease at different times we won’t be put together. Is there anyway to really guarantee rooming together?
So I got kinda screwed out of a living situation by the person who was supposed to be my roommate, and now I have nowhere to live. I'm looking for an apartment in Davis, I have a car so I can drive to campus, but I also know that some places have terrible utilities or management so I'd love to hear what people think are the best quality places that might still have single bedroom apartments available? I could pay up to like $1500 a month I just need a place to live. This is not an ad for a place to live or a roommate, I want the community's opinions on good apartment buildings/complexes in the Davis area

We (four friendly UC Davis sophomores) are looking for one to two people to join the lease on a loft apartment with three beds and two baths near Safeway. The lease is from the 1st of September ('26) to August 33rd ('27) and base rent would be around $530 if we find two people and $630 with one more. The apartment complex, La Salle, is only about a 9 minute bike ride from campus and has a gym, a pool, parking (car for a fee and bikes for free), they're pet-friendly and utilities are $56. Gas and electric will be set up through PG&E, and internet will also be set up through an external provider.
The room we have available would be the lofted bedroom which has a skylight and closet space. We are a queer household and will all be moving in early September, so you will have a say in household furniture and whatever else is important to you!

I loved the place. However being told that the only way to access your apartment is through an app on your phone…? I’m not trying to be mean or cruel here—I’m just saying wow.
Has anyone had a problem with this? Does anyone like it? Hate it?
