6 more days left - still waitlisted?

Only 6 days left until UDST classes start and I’m still waitlisted :(

My first choice is Chemical Engineering, so I’m wondering if anyone has been getting accepted recently? Especially people who were previously waitlisted.

At this point I’m wondering how realistic it is to still get an offer this late, especially since classes are starting so soon.

And for those who are still waitlisted, what program are you waiting for and have you received any updates from UDST?

Just trying to get an idea of whether admissions are still moving at this point or if things have basically settled already. T_T

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone in a similar situation!

Q for old engineering students

Is taking MATH 1010, MATH 1050, AEEL 1101, AEEL 1210, CHEM 1010, CHEM 1011, and COMM 1010 (17ch) too much for the first semester.

I also kinda need advice on this matter as well

Question about equivalency process

So I need to apply for my certificate equivalency online and I need to make an account for the MOE website first and it asks for my QID expiry date and I’m a bit confused on what to put cuz the current card I have expires in 2 days and I won’t get my renewed QID card till 2 or 3 days so I was wondering if anyone knows wether it’s fine or not to put the expiry date as my current one that expires in 2 days or if I need to wait for the new one and put that one’s expiry date?

Is it possible to give equivalency after due date?

Has anyone heard about being able to possibly give the equivalency after the due date and if it’s fine?

Changed status

It shows full capacity in my peoplesoft portal, does that mean I'm rejected, they haven't sent me an email or offered me any other programs, should I apply in the winter program?

GPA question

Do courses such as MATH1010 and MATH1020 impact the GPA? Or is it only important when it comes to calculus 1 MATH1030?
Also is it recommended to do Math1010 in fall , math 1020 winter , and then math 1030 spring?

Anyone else still waiting for their portal to update after accepting the Health Sciences alternative program?

Guys, I need some help, or to hear from someone in the same situation. Last August 5th, I was offered an alternative program for Health Sciences, and I chose the Diploma in Practical Nursing. However, my portal still hasn't changed. Some people's portals changed immediately after replying to Ms. Reem's email, but mine is still showing BS Nursing. :-(

Applied in February, got a conditional offer in March, still "waitlisted" in August with classes about to start — anyone else dealing with this?

Rant incoming, sorry in advance.

I applied to UDST back in early February. Got a conditional offer in March, which felt like a great sign. Then... nothing. My status has been stuck on "Waitlisted Early Cond Marks&Val" for months.

Every time I check in, I get told to wait a little longer. First it was "wait till early June." Then June came and went, so it became "July." Then "mid-July." Then "August." Then "first weeks of August." Now it's almost the end of August, other universities' classes are literally starting this week, and I still have zero final answer.

At this point I genuinely don't know if this is a "we're still processing, hang tight" situation or a "we're going to reject you but keep stringing you along" situation. And that's the part that gets me — if the answer is no, just tell me. I'd rather have a clear rejection in June than false hope dragged out to the point where I've missed the window to apply anywhere else for this year.

I get that admissions offices are busy and there's a lot of applications to process, but months of "just a little longer" with no transparency is a genuinely awful way to treat 18-year-olds trying to plan their entire year. Some of us don't have a backup plan sitting around because we were told to wait.

Anyone else in the same boat? Did it eventually resolve, and if so, how long did it take for you?
