Anyone have experience/advice on the BSW program at UHD?

I'm thinking about doing it online, as I live a couple hours away, but any take on it will be helpful.

Hey everybody! I’m a college student who just finished my two years at Lonestar community college and was considering UHD to complete a B.S degree in computer science. Do y’all think the cs program is worth considering? I’ve heard mixed reviews about the program and was unsure whether to attend. What did y’all think about the professors and the major classes?

Hello everyone,

For some background I am in my last year of getting my bachelors degree at the University of Houston downtown. I was looking at my unofficial transcript today and I noticed that for this past semester— the spring semester 2026– I supposedly made it onto the Dean’s list,

but I’m just a little confused because I never received any email or really any notification that I made it onto the Dean’s list. I also looked at my official GPA overall and I have a 3.375 overall GPA and a I believe 3.7 term/semester GPA.

And so I was wondering if that’s normal? maybe it’s just one of those things where because a 3.3 is so close to a 3.4 they just kind of like rounded it up…and since it’s rounded up they don’t send out emails?

I know it’s not a big deal in retrospect, but I still wanna know for my own closure and because this is an accomplishment I’ve been trying to achieve for a long time. Thank you!

So I’m 7 classes away from graduating with my bachelors in international business, I’m wondering what internships I can get through this major? I feel like switching my major because I don’t think I’m learning much with it, I’m thinking finance or accounting. I don’t see the point of this major and I’m completely lost on what to do with it.

They said we would be informed last week but I got no reply or updates
