It’s been over 2 weeks since introducing fruiting conditions and my penis envy has not pinned. The golden teachers have started to pin and fruit but why hasn’t my PE started pinning?
Before introducing FC I did drop/bump the PE container and all the insides did get a good shake. Not sure if that affected this. Appreciated any advice
(JMF shown) i’m reading that the wrinkling of the caps and weird stems are from dehydration or maybe co2 buildup which is not too surprising since this is my first grow and everything started pinning while i had a few weekend trips planned (i harvested a tub of golden teachers relatively successfully a week ago that looked much better than this)
are the golden ones at the bottom of the first picture healthier? should i cut all the big ones that have torn veils but don’t seem to be mature? would those still be okay to eat (i recognize they might not have peak psylocibin, but are they at least safe and likely to have some?)
i’m kind of imagining at least trimming down everything that looks unhealthy unless something like this is able to be brought back?
So this is my first grow. The monotub I have I figured now is to small.
Question
1.How do I know when they are ready to be harvested?
2. Can I take the monotub and put the whole tub into a tote that I have pre made for another grow. I was just gonna set the monotub in there but not transplant them.

First timer. I hydrated an entire coir brick (660g dry, followed bucket tek exactly) which I believe the guide says should be enough for 8-10 six-quart tubs, which is what I’m using.
I did only 4 tubs and ran out of coir, ending up with thin cakes (they’re about 1.25-1.5” thick).
Was going for about a 1:1.5 spawn:sub ratio, but when I did that I realized my cakes were less than 1 inch thick once packed so I added a few handfuls of more coir to each tub, but this was about as thick as I could get them before running out.
I’m very confused because I was under the impression that I’d have way more than enough coir than I’d need by hydrating an entire brick.
Did my coir just not expand as much as it should have or something? And should I hydrate more coir now to add to these cakes to make them thicker (I’ve read many ppl say that 2-3” is ideal) or will these be fine as-is?

My mushrooms are starting to touch the top of the lid on my box - is this all good? Will they rot unless I change the lid? What should I do?

I really want to make my own liquid culture, but unfortunately I don’t own a pressure cooker yet. All recipes I‘ve seen on here include using a PC, but I’ve seen a video by fungia in which he mentions that you can also use a water bath but didn’t go into much further detail. So would this be an option or is it not worth the risk?
And if it is an option how should I go about it?
Hey all, I have been thinking about grinding my mushrooms up and putting them into capsules to make them easier to take. But I have a couple questions.
Can I just use a mortar and pestle or should I get a small electric coffee grinder?
Will grinding them up very fine make them lose potency in any way?

Okay this is my first grow and I've had the lid on with one side unlatched. It's pretty damn wet in there so I'm wondering if I should flip the lid. It's my first grow and these are six quart tubs with the white lid from Walmart.
It's pretty damn wet in there but I don't really see any pooling so I'm hoping I'm okay there.
I'm just wondering if you guys think this looks okay so far or if I have problems.

Is this contamination? Some of the spots look mostly blue (i assume from an aggressive spray) but some others look pretty green. Should I pull the pins to try and get something out of the batch?

First time grower here. I made my still air box, but I was wondering if there is any benefit to inoculating on the stove top with the range hood on. It just sort of came to me as I was making the box and set it on the stove lol I also have a room with minimal air movement that I was going to do it in but thought I’d ask the question. Thanks!

This is my first grow and its going great! These are Starry Night, and they are looking great so far!
Im not sure when to harvest though, I dont see the veil as clearly as in other strains, but id assume I should harvest them soon. I would appreciate some advice from more experienced growers.
