I sent to bulk on 5/8 and it seems like growth may have stalled. It’s looked like this the last few days. Any tips to initiate pins?
First time growing PE, this looks so wrong? Why is it both discolored and have no cap?? All my tubs looks like this.
I have been fanning and misting once a day.
Maybe my humidity is off on this container? But its a very shallow container, that could be it, maybe? I dont know. But a few are cracking, and the veils are breaking, yet no cap flattening.
I added an rca cable so you get a better scale at how shallow that container is. EDIT: Now that I think about it, that rca cable isn’t helping scale, since I’m further from the container! lol

Found this LC completely forgotten in my garage for around 3 years lol. Pretty sure it’s cubensis 'equador'. It stayed sealed the entire time somehow.
What’s weird is that visually it still looks surprisingly clean. I expected some horrific contamination soup when I opened the box, but it’s still relatively clear with suspended mycelium-looking clouds everywhere. No obvious mold colors, no black stuff, no thick surface growth, nothing immediately terrifying.
I do have some experience with sterile work and applied mycology, so I know LC can look “fine” and still be completely cooked internally. But honestly to my eye it doesn’t look catastrophically contaminated either.
Now I’m stuck between:
“this is definitely dead after 3 years” and “maybe this thing somehow survived in garage hibernation mode”
Before wasting agar and grain, (and time), I wanted to ask if anyone here has ever recovered insanely old LC like this before. Did anything actually come back viable? Or am I just looking at a jar full of dead mycelium and hidden bacteria?
Curious what you guys would do first in this situation.
I got 20ml spores. How many bags of rice? How much to inject per bag.

Hi guys, yesterday, after long 6 weeks I finally broke and shaken my mycelium, but now sitting at work I wonder if I left the pieces of mycelium too big. How do I know how finely should I break it?
Why are the mushrooms already opening up and not getting very big? It’s my first grow and they are Golden Teacher.
It looks like some of my shrooms are much further along than others within the same tub. My question is do I just harvest those that are ready and leave the others? Or harvest them all so tub is at the same starting point for second flush?

Hi, guys. So here’s my first harvest. My friend is making fun of me because he says the average wet harvest weight should be 500g like his and it’s probably due to contamination. Is this true?
It has been years since I’ve tried this rewarding hobby. Wanted to share my progression below and see if anyone is in a similar schedule!
- April 30: inoculated 2, 2.25 lbs. grain bags with 5mg/each of GT liquid culture
- May 5: first signs of mycelial growth (but SO tiny and very hard to tell)
- May 8: photos 1 + 2
- May 13: photos 3 + 4 | I did break & shake this day, as I saw and felt mycelial growth from the bottom to the top of the bags
- May 19: photos 5, 6, 7, + 8 | post-break & shake growth!
I don’t have super consistent temps in my home, but I am so pleased with the growth and so ready to see the fully colonized bags 🤍 🍄🟫 psilocybin truly changed my life for the better; it healed me, and I am so grateful for this medicine. Mush love!
is it okay to store my rice bags in this container positioned like they are?
I just finished my BNS 2 days ago and it seems my first grow is going very well! both bags have a good bit of myc "pooled" at the bottom covering the majority of the surface area. i've heard Amazonian is an aggressive strain but I wasn't expecting this much explosive growth so fast. (i actually pulled amazonian as a mystery LC so i'm very pleased with their current standing)

This is my first frow so Im still learning. This is 5 days after S2B. Its growing really fast but after reading a lot I might not have added enough substrate. Its about 2 inch thick and people are saying it should be at least 4 inches. Think it will be fine and still grow after I put it in fruiting conditions?
Anything I’m missing? Besides a spore/culture syringe? Wanting to grow for the first time, probably gonna go with GT.
