Hey people of York. I am applying for Law LLB and am pretty set on York. It seems like the UCAS grade data page has updated for 2023 - 2025 data, and I'm very surprised the acceptance is seemingly so lenient?

Im on a boring, normal AAA conditional offer, so do the above percentages account for what circumstances? Surely AAC cant have nearly 50% acceptance.

After doing my first A-Level, I fear I may be screwed, and so was wondering what other peoples experiences are for grade leniency for York (especially Law!).

Of course its dependant on the intake etc. but would love to get some insight from the last few years people. Thanks and good luck to other applicants!!!

I've just firmed York, and I'm currently looking at accom, but I was wondering about the whole allocation aspect of it. I'm only rlly looking at Fairfax house, and maybe Halifax, or Alcuin. This is mainly due to the cost aspect of it. Is it likely for me to get my first choice accom? Are there any specific deciding factors, or is it random? And if I end up being allocated a higher priced accom (cos we have to pick 7), would I be able to look for accom in the city with no money lost?

I don't fully understand how they allocate on campus accommodation, but on the website it says they'll start soon after it opens. It's been a month and I haven’t heard from anyone that they got an offer. Does anybody know the timeline? When do they usually get back to students?

I have firmed york this year for Bsc business and management and I randomly decided to check the UCAS grades held by accepted students again and it now says the average accepted grades are BBC whereas I could've sworn it said ABB a few months ago?
