I'm surprised no one in this group has mentioned the various issues that have come up around the frats on campus in the past.

Hey guys, I’ve been struggling horrifically in physics 1230, I’m beginning to think it is the professors fault, I study physics a significant more amount of time than any other course and after exam 2 I now have a D. This is very important to me because I am in the middle of a career change, pursuing medicine and I need a great gpa (my own standard).

My first bachelor’s degree is in aeronautics and I used to be a flight engineer; physics and math don’t come horribly difficult to me. But these lessons and exams don’t seem to be matching up, the stuff I’m studying proves to be absolutely useless during an exam 80% of the time and what I’m studying comes from the Pearson slides/textbook itself/chatGPT practice questions/khan academy/physics ninja.

The professor has even told the TA not to help us work through problems “unless we have made a serious attempt and can identify what we are doing wrong”. When I work through problems from khan academy or physics ninja, the problems on the exams do not compare.

I can’t tell if I’m being a little bitch or if this prof actually is not great. I mean, in my opinion if the class average on exams is in the 50s, that is a poor reflection of the professor itself. Great guy, horrible sayings. “It’s okay to not understand it’s not okay to not try”. How tf do I get better if there is little to know assistance from prof/TA?

Advice is desperately needed. Parachute class will mess with my funding for housing.

hey so I'm a dental student at Touro (the one on Ridgecrest) and I'm in clinic now, which means I need patients to finish my requirements lol. figured a lot of people here haven't been to the dentist since moving out or don't have insurance, so maybe this helps someone
right now there's a friends & family discount where the exam, cleaning and x-rays are completely free, and most other stuff like fillings or crowns or root canals is 50% off. ortho and oral surgery are 25% off. a licensed faculty dentist checks everything I do so you're not just trusting a random student haha. it does take longer than a normal appointment though, just being upfront
only catch is your treatment plan has to get approved by Nov 1. DM me if you want a voucher or just ask questions here

My son, who's at Casas del Rio, got an email for lease renewal (for next Fall). It says "time is running out" and "our spaces are filling fast". Anyone know the actual deadline and how fast spaces actually fill up? It seems awfully early to be signing a lease for next Fall.

I'm in an all girls unit in Pecos, and im possibly thinking about reletting my space because I realized I can afford to live on my own. I was just wondering if anyone was interested in taking over my relet, I pay 712 a month under my lease.

How has your experience been using the Johnson gym changing rooms/showers (specifically the mens)?

What's the privacy like? Are there any curtains or stall doors in the showers?

Also, are there gender-neutral showers/lockers?
