I'm an incoming UPD engineering freshman planning to shift to Industrial Engineering after my first year.

My current program's first-semester curriculum has 21 units. Aside from being a pretty heavy load for a freshman, five of those units come from courses that won't be credited toward IE if I successfully shift.

Luckily, I was granted all my other courses during pre-enlistment except for those 5 units (Chem). How risky is it to continue with a lighter load instead of trying to complete all 21 units?

My thinking is that having fewer units might let me focus on maintaining a high GWA and building a stronger profile for shifting. On the other hand, I'm worried about the risks of shifting in general, and taking fewer units that could somehow hurt my chances of shifting.

I'd really appreciate any advice or experiences.

I am not able to secure the two GEs in my curriculum which are philo 1 and eng 13😭😭😭😭can it be secured during afr? thank uuu

para po sa mga nakaranas na ng interview sa shifting or transferee, ano po usually tinatanong ng mga department? specifically po sa bs geodetic engg, pero pls do share kahit ibang degprog kayo nung naintervew. any insight will matter, thanks po.

Eto ulit ako for another CRS tip for freshies. Paano malalaman kung ilan ang namili ng courses na pinili ninyo sa preenlistment?

1. Go to the CRS page, hanapin yung Regular Classes tab sa baba. Click it.

2. You are now at the CRS search page, pero Midyear Term 2026 ang nakalagay na term. Change it to First Semester AY 2026-2027.

3. Search the course by typing the course na gusto nyong malaman dun sa Course Number (Example Kas 1). Di kelangan complete. Halimbawa gusto mo lang malaman lahat ng math courses na ino-offer for next semester. Pwede Math lang ilagay mo.

Ayan, malalaman mo kung ilan ang kaagaw mo sa slot.

Hello puu! Kahapon ko lang po nakuha crs account ko from upcfa (AA-ID) kaya ngayon lang po ako nakalogin… nakasulat dito sa pre-enlistment: “Module closed. Preenlistment is closed. Please wait for further announcements.”

Ibig sabihin po ba nun na tapos na pre-enlistment? Pls helpp

PS (hindi ko pa mabigay form 137 ko so baka may kinalaman den po siya sa pre enlistment??)

hello, i know ang random pero alam niyo po ba if yung true copy of grades (TCG) ay isang buong academic year na yun or isang sem lang huhu. kinakabahan ako since bukas ko pa makukuha reqs ko and mamaya isang sem lang pala. super tagal pa naman ng req sa college ko, e sa 30 na dl.

(long post plss bare w meee) hello po bsba seniors! i’m a stem grad po kasi who got in thru ga round 2 and hindi ako makampante if bsba really is for me. as much as i want to really grab this opportunity, ayoko rin na mabaliw ako sa lugar na wala ako kakilala huhu. although very extroverted/sociable and adaptable person ako, i reaaallyy can’t help but overthink these stuff. i’d really appreciate it po if you answer some of my questions po and give some advice. i need to ship my reqs by june 28 po kasi HUHUHUH thaaank u sm 😅✌🏻

1. are there any active orgs for freshies? like ones that will help us freshies with settling in or ones na will help us make connections beyond up schools hehe
2. are the profs there super demanding/terror po? i know na mahirap pa rin naman kahit saang up campus pero i barely see any content abt upv hell week sa other socmed platforms po e HUHUHU i’ve had my fair share of terror teachers coming from a sci high—will that be of any help po?
3. do u have any learning materials u can share po to us bsba freshies? which specific topics po ang need as fundamentals especially as a stem graduate? any pdfs, cheat sheets, yt creators, as in kahit ano po hehehe
4. how are the job/internship opportunities po? i saw somewhere na nakakakuha naman ng manila internships yung bsa students and halos companies na ang humahabol sakanila. is it the same for bsba students po?
5. if you’re a stem grad who pursued an abm-related course po, whats something u wish u knew before going to up?
6. if you’re not from visayas po, madalas po ba kayo nakakauwi sa hometown nyo? during which time of the sem po ba maluwag yung sched?
