Hi! I’m currently taking BA Communication at PUP, and I’m considering taking a second bachelor’s degree at UP Diliman after I graduate.

I’m currently looking at BS Economics or BS Business Economics at UPD.

For those who have experience with taking a second degree in UPD, I have a few questions:

• If I already completed my GE/General Education courses at PUP, can these be credited/validated by UPD, or would I have to take UPD’s GE courses again?
• How does the crediting/validation process work for courses taken from another university?
• Would my previous PUP courses reduce the number of units/courses I need to take for the second degree?
• Approximately how long does it usually take to finish a second degree in UPD if you already have a bachelor's degree?
• Specifically for BS Economics or BS Business Economics, are there prerequisites or major courses that I should expect to take from scratch?
• And lastly, how difficult is it to get accepted as a second-degree applicant for these programs?

Hello, can I have an estimate on the number of your UPCAT mocks? Just trying to get an idea of how many mock exams is suggested to take.

Also, kung when, how often, and kung gaano karami every mock-test sessions?

Kung ano na rin ang dapat gawin after taking the mocks, to rest ba muna or whatever.

When do you suggest taking mocks the last time?

When should I start doing simulations?

Hi everyone! im currently a freshie who got into upm public health, but this campus and course was not my first or even second choice (though I am still very grateful to be able to even attend upm in the first place). My initial goal was to go to upm so that I am already in the up system because my first/dream choice/course is UPD engineering (either materials engineering or industrial engineering).

Checking the primer for both of these courses the pre reqs are:

Industrial Engi : Math 22

Materials Engi : Math 21, chem 16 & 16.1

and this is where I am stressing on. In my course (public health) I only have math 10, and chem 18 (not even a chem 18.1). After doing some research chem 18 covers the chem 16 pre req, but not the needed lab equivalent for it. and for math I actually don't know what to do. because I know that math 21s pre req is math 21, and math 22 pre req is math 21, so how do I do this? if I plan to take mid year can I take the chem 16.1, math 20, 21, and 22?

I was thinking to take an overload in second same , maybe math 20. but I don't even know if upm allows that because math 21 is outside of my curriculum. I can't even ask the offices of upm about it yet because it's a sensitive topic in terms of using upm as a stepping stone.

So if anyone know any info that can help, or if anyone has successfully done it please llml huhuuuu im so desperate na :')))

Hello, I'd like people who are shiftees or have prior knowledge of shifting to tell me if they know what to do in my situation.

I'm from BEEd Math, but I want to shift to Geodetic Engineering. It said on Google na kailangan ko ng Math 21 at Physics 71 before I become eligible for shifting into GE.

Math 21 is in my academic curriculum, but it's in 2nd year. I do not have Physics 71, however.

What do I do? Does this mean I cannot shift to Geodetic Engineering in my 2nd year (I'm a freshman) at UP Diliman?

Hello, former UPCAT takers! Can you share what you did the day before the exam? Kasi sabi nga nila, wag na daw mag-review. What should you do instead to still do well sa exam?

If possible, share your whole day please if may naaalala pa kayo. Gumala ba? Nag-exercise? Or nanood ng movies? Anything!

I was just wondering if may chance ba ko makapasok sa UPOU (AADE) kahit may isa akong failing grade during my second yr in college? I’m a T2 and I have been anxious sa results. Pasok naman gwa ko but iniisip ko if napakalaking factor ito sa evaluation nila. Pagdating ba sa associate programs hinuhuli nila admission results nito?

So just a background, I’m not from UP. I didn’t pass the UPCAT (got a 98 in science and 92 in math somehow tho…). I’m currently in BS Mechanical Engineering in an Ateneo school and its all good for me rn. But I can’t help but feel fomo for all the topics and lessons I’m missing out on in the best Physics Institute in the country. I plan to take a Masters in Physics in UP once I graduate from MechEngg and AerospaceEngg but I want to learn as much as I can before that time comes so it goes smoothly for me. I’m an aspiring Astrophysicist and I need all the knowledge I can get.

So if any of you are allowed to give anything about the 4 year curriculum or at least a rough rundown of all the BS Physics lessons and concepts that matter in the long run, I’d really appreciate it. If you also have any books to recommend I’d appreciate that too.

Hey everyone! I know I'm super late for bringing this up. Just wanted to see your experiences regarding this.

I recently took the UPCAT on August 1 and had a bit of a mixed experience. Going in, I fully expected it to be much harder overall since mock exams had really exaggerated the difficulty, which definitely lowered my expectations for the other CATs. But the Language Proficiency section really humbled me. I definitely underestimated it and realized too late that I shouldn't have slept on it.

I feel quite confident about getting into other campuses, but UP Diliman is my absolute dream campus. Ever since I first visited, the blend of academics, nature, and culture just felt like everything I want out of college.

To those who are currently studying in UP Diliman, did any of you walk out of the testing center feeling shaky or unsure about specific subtests, but still manage to get in? How did your results turn out?

UP's one of the colleges I'm considering and I'm trying to grasp or have an idea of what it really is. The good or the bad aspects—kahit ano about buhay as an iskolar.

I've read/seen a few stuff online, but I'd like to know more. Like sa yung kulang-kulang daw yung units? I'm not really sure what that means, or what units are. Please do tell me more, magkwento kayo about sa sariling experiences ninyo. Anything! I just want to get as the nearest I can to understanding what it's really like in UP(D).

All I wanna do is learn more for now. For instance, how does UP feel ba about students na na-de-delay? Is it normal or na-o-outcast ba sila? At ano yung common reasons behind it? Kasalanan ba talaga ng students or may parte na rin yung sistema? If that's the case, is it really a good system? What do you think?

In simple terms, yap as much as you want about it. I'll be reading them all. Kwento ka lang ng wins/losses mo, mga highlights mo bilang iskolar, kung bakit worth it or di worth it manatili—anything under the sun.

If want niyo ng idea about what to talk about, I've seen something about these:

•wala akong masyadong naririnig, pero may paranomal experiences ba?

•how accurate is the "UPCAT yung huli kong napasa sa UP" sentiment?

•nakakapasok in and out kahit sino—how does up keep it safe? Kasi even if ganiyan, wala ako masyadong naririnig na indicents
