Hi - I have a question for those who attended USU. My son has been at BYU for the last year but didn’t like it and is transferring up to Logan. He’s been living in Provo full time for a year. He got a UT drivers license. When he reached out to the admissions office, he asked about getting in state tuition. He said he was told he could provided he had a UT drivers license and was living there full time. He’s filling out his application but it says you can’t leave the state for more than 29 days out of the year or you don’t get instate tuition. Is that accurate? I’m having trouble understanding how this would work. If someone gets an internship out of state on the summer, they can’t have instate tuition? He’s worried because he came to visit us (we live in Wyoming) in the spring for a week and after he finished his his spring term at the end of June he came out here for a few weeks and also went to Colorado on a trip with his fiancée. During this time, he still has his apartment in Provo and is paying rent and utilities but says because he has been out of the state for more than 29 days, it automatically disqualifies him. I think he’s being too literal but wanted to see the communities thoughts.

As the title says, I’m worried about living on campus as a trans person in non-gender inclusive housing. I got a legal name change, but not a gender marker change, so I’m not really trying to pretend to be a girl.
I lived in Merrill last year and I like the apartment and I feel like the RA’s are nice and stuff. I’m also living with my friend, so I’m not worried about sharing a room with a transphobe.
I’m wondering if anyone has advice/ experiences they want to share to make me less nervous about it.

Hi, just curious is anyone is aware of any information about the road closure construction? What are they doing? What is the timeline?

It’s been going on since the end of Spring 2026 and I would love to know what’s up. Really annoying to have to drive all the way around but I’m sure they have good reason!

We have an official tour scheduled with the University on Monday, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, may need to leave town early.

Would we miss out on much if we tried to take an unofficial tour on Sunday by attempting to hire a student to show us around?

Would love to hear about your experience taking the official campus tour and/or thoughts on this crazy idea.

I'm considering moving to the factory next year, wondering how peoples experience has been the last yearish. I've seen some pretty scathing reviews but it seems like the new management has been doing a good job and seemed pretty great on the tour I went on. curious what people have to say about it because it seems like stuff might've changed?
