Hello everyone! I know it is a few hours early for Kagerou day but I couldn't wait any longer to post this cover since I really love KagePro and it was basically my gateway into the whole vocaloid and utaite fandom 😳 For those who does not know what KagePro is, it is basically a whole song series made by JIN and it had an anime adaptation called "Mekaku City Actors"

I'm a small utaite, and I've done a full cover, since I usually focus on making mini-covers. However, I wanted to know what kind of platforms people use for that these days...I remember that NND used to be used a lot, but I don't know about now.

Also, I'd like to keep my acquaintances somewhat unaware of my results, so TikTok doesn't seem like a very private platform for that T T

I only sing in Japanese, although in text I can speak English, Spanish and also Japanese (I don't know if that influences the type of platform I can be on)

So I've never been the most techy person, with my parents not allowing me to have any electronics or to play video games and such until I got my drivers license at 16, so I'm aware I'm going to need like a microphone and headset and certain softwares and stuff but I just have no clue what I'm doing on the technology side. I have a trained voice and did choir for years and made state several times, and utaite music is pretty much all I listen to, so I wanted to follow my passion of singing here while knowing it was going to be very different, and have finally hit a roadblock when it comes to the actual equipment and stuff I'm going to need lol

Keep in mind all I have right now is my phone and a shitty laptop that's about to break but can still be used! I also have no clue how to edit things though, because I know I'll have to edit my voice over the credited background music to each cover and am just... at a loss I suppose... I have no clue what I'm doing, and this is the reason I've refrained from the temptation of posting stuff online like this, but I finally want to learn how to do it! Can anybody please give me some advice on the software I'll need, how to edit things, as well as what microphones and headsets will work best for this, as well as anything else I may need to buy/obtain-?

Hi! I’m Yuki, a cat VTuber, and I just released my first full song cover. 🐾🌙

I sang Billie Eilish’s “bury a friend” and turned it into a dark shrine story with fox spirits, yokai, and a whole cinematic narrative.

The vocals are mine, Yuki is based on my own VRoid character/model that I designed, and I used AI-generated illustrations of her as the visual base. I then did the sequencing, animation/movement, effects, editing, and final music-video production myself.

I’m just starting to build out the music side of my VTuber channel, so I’d genuinely love to hear what you think. 🖤
