How do I install defeko on OPENUTAU (NOT utau)

Ive searched for a LONG time how to do it, Im a new user to open utau and Ive never used utau, i really like defeko but I dont know how to get her voicebank. Do I HAVE to instal utau to get her file and drag it to openutau? What happens if I delete utau (the old software) does her voice bank get deleted with it? Please Im desperate at this point

Hello. I am Bonnie_studios. I am happy to reveal my new Utau,Chiyone Mako. Mako is a VCV LITE which means his syllables are in individual files. Unfortunately the art I got drawn for him was AI generated and I have since parted ways with them and I am spending money to get his art redrawn. I don’t have a defined date for when his voicebank will be released but it is an individual project so it will be a while. I apologise for my blindness towards that art, thank you and goodbye.

Kanane Hitori has been updated after 17 years

An UTAU originally released in 2009 recently received both CVVC and VCV voicebanks with re-recorded vocals and new artwork from her original creator after 39chan users had the idea to "revive an old UTAU". Today would also be her 17th anniversary. You can download her on the new official website.

I'm posting her here because I think she's very underrated and despite how obscure she may seem, she is an important piece of UTAU's western community's early history. She's been noticed and used by Misha, voice provider of Vocaloid Ruby, and Austin, former CEO of VocaTone and creator of Chii Tomero, the first western UTAU. As well as various small Japanese NicoNico creators who made covers and originals with her in 2009 and the early 2010's.

To give you an idea of how long it has been since her creation. Sora, her VP/artist, was 13 years old in 2009. She is now 30.

Hey guys I'm going to make a better version of OpenUTAU

I think the current state of OpenUTAU is kind of underwhelming and definitely needs CLI and VB creation tools so I'm going to make a fork of it to add those, but I was also wondering if there was anything (other than the insane amount of bugs) that you guys think is wrong with the current state of the software. (Just for the record I probably won't start work on this for like another 10 months since this is kind of a huge project to take on and I'm pretty busy as is until then.)

Just curious, what DAW(s) do you use?

Because UTAU/OpenUtau/Utalet are free non-professional programs, it’s unlikely your average casual user would have a Full Premium Deluxe All Plugins + The Kitchen Sink Edition of a DAW compared to the payed vocal synth user. But then again, a lot of vocal synth artists are also amateur hobbyists and would at least have Reaper on trial mode.

Mostly thinking about this because I hear a lot of people use Bandlab, Garage Band, or raw dog with Audacity.

Looking for someone who can help edit my UTAU voicebank files

Hi! I'm looking for someone who knows about UTAU/OpenUTAU voicebanks and could help me with a small modification.

I commissioned a voicebank recently, but I need to change the name that appears inside UTAU/OpenUTAU. I don't want to rename the files manually because I want the voicebank to display the correct name within the app itself.

The original voicebank creator is currently away from their computer, so unfortunately they can't make the change themselves.

I need the voicebank ready within 2 days, so I would really appreciate it if someone could help me with this.

It's only a small modification, but I would prefer someone experienced with UTAU/OpenUTAU to make sure I don't accidentally break anything.

If you can help, please comment or send me a DM. I can provide the voicebank files and explain exactly what needs to be changed.
