Back story :
I wasn’t offered the holiday pendant last year after spending a exceptionally large amount at my local vca .. so this year I told my CA multiple times that I’m praying I get offered the holiday pendant this year .. so I got the call Friday I was being offered one but when I told my husband he said you just ordered a bag … should I just pull the trigger ? And deal with the repercussions of him scolding me for a few days 🥲 HELP lol

Frivole Pendant mini vs Vintage Alhambra pendant guilloché

I’m looking for my first Van Cleef necklace and love the look of these two for the way they reflect light!

The Frivole pendant caught my eye first, I liked that it’s less common than the Alhambra motif and kind of if you know you know. I also just think the mirror effect is super unique.

The guilloché Alhambra pendant though is also gorgeous, I love the dimension. Only thing is I feel like there’s so many replicas out there now that it feels a bit over done to me? Also it’s double the price so there’s that…

I’m very minimal in my day to day accessories so want something dainty that isn’t too loud.

If anyone has either of these - would love to hear your thoughts!

White Gold Mini Frivole Necklace Review

I have wanted the white gold mini frivole for a while. I tried to order it last year and it was unavailable. I tried again recently and got it.

There are very few reviews on this necklace. If you are interested, here's mine.

This is a DAINTY creation. It is the size of a Sweet Alhambra. The chain is thinner than the vintage Alhambra necklace but has the same magical gleam that VCA is known for.

Despite the diminutive size, it is absolutely beautiful and elegant. It shines, the flower petals are mirror polished and dimensional and it looks very nice worn alone or stacked. I have stacked it with my white gold mother of pearl Alhambra and with a diamond pendant I wear on a Cartier chain.

The picture doesn't really do it justice. The magic of frivole happens when you move a d the light catches.

I scoured the globe lol to find an image of this piece stacked and could not find one in white gold, so hopefully this picture helps someone else who is interested in the mini frivole.
