Got some upgrade questions so any insight would be appreciated 🙏

So I want to upgrade to the galaxy z fold 8 but I’m still paying off my iPhone 17 pro which I got back in December. I chatted Verizon and my only two options were to pay off my remaining balance around 400ish, but I’d have to buy the fold at full price for an “early upgrade” and I cannot trade the phone in or pay off the phone in full with no promotional credit applied. Does this sound correct?? Either way, I’m paying for the phone completely. Thanks for reading/help!

Has anyone received their Verizon Dollars yet for the past 2 bills? Mine haven’t been posted on the Dollars portal and customer service claims they’re having a delay.

Did anyone sign up for Verizon dollars in June 2026. The program does NOT require you to have a credit card. You receive 3% of your bill (if paid on time) to use towards gift cards, etc.

I signed up and have email confirmation. My balance shows 0. It should be around $21. I have contacted Verizon numerous times and just get apologies, and assurances they will figure it out. That does not happen!

Now they say call Verizon Shine but that 800 number is just an endless loop and when you request a call back you never get one.

Help! Does anyone know how to get action from Verizon? They have literally closed the ticket 3 times saying it was resolved but have done nothing.

I received a text from a Verizon short code saying that appointment is for tomorrow with an order number for FiOS which I do not have nor have I made an order. I stopped at a store and they gave me the name on the account. The name is not mine my question is could someone set up service with my social under another name? I’m not sure what to do from here….

I almost lost my cell phone number this weekend. I had a watch service that I wanted to cancel, and I thought I did, but then I realized later on in the day that I lost my cell phone service. I panicked because I thought somebody swapped my number. I called, and what really bothers me is that they tried to help me, but then again, on top of that, they tried to sell me things that I don't want or need. They sold me insurance, and I said yes because I really needed the help, and then I got another line that I'm not going to use. Why is it that every time you call for help, they don't just help you instead of trying to sell you things that we don't want or need?

In My Verizon app, it shows I have $10 rewarded from June 30th, but I haven’t seen anything from July 30th. Is this normal? Should I contact Verizon to look into this? Or are Salesmaker accounts(my account type) credited Verizon dollars differently than consumers?

Hi. My iphone 12 mini got water damage and stopped working so I ordered an iphone 13 through the Verizon eBay store. I tried to do a transfer myself which I've done before but it wouldn't work. Verizon wants me to log into my account but it keeps sending a code to my broken phone. For some reason the only option to receive this code is via text. In the past I had the choice between text and email to receive a code. I called customer service but he told me they couldn't do anything because my sim is locked. I don't remember doing this at all! So the rep told me to take my drivers license and go to a corporate verizon store which I did and they couldn't help me. They asked if I could come back today because I think their manager will be in today. I had to leave work early yesterday and most likely today but before I do am I missing something? Do I have options?? Has anyone else experienced this? I've had verizon prepaid for 11 years and this phone number for even longer.

For context, I have an older iPad Pro 3rd gen I was given as a gift from my grandfather a few years ago. It used to be his but I needed something to be able to read on for school and so on. Fast forward to today when I realized it had mobile data, I asked him about it and he said he never paid for a data plan on it or anything? So I took the SIM card out and popped it into my z flip 7 and it showed up as full 5G and even worked on a Speedtest. So I tried calling myself but it immediately failed, it registered that it has a number in settings. It just doesn’t work. If anyone knows how to make this mystery line work for call text and data it would be greatly appreciated!

I have had Verizon for 19 years, I got my line when I started working at cellularsales around that time. I quit in mid 2025. I got the Internet and the promo was a 100 Amazon gift card. I moved right after I got the giftcard which was around 3 months in. I disconnected the Internet because it no longer worked where I live now, and kept the phone service still (even though I'm about to go to visible). But my bill has a freaking 100 dollar promo chargeback, just like cellular sales used to do if a customer didn't keep the line of service over 180 days. Jeez I never knew they would actually do this. Yes over the years I knew Verizon said it might happen if you don't keep things 180 but I just thought it was a empty threat. I never had a customer tell me this shit happened to them.

I’m trying to see if anyone else has this issue- but essentially every time I call Verizon iPhone numbers (latest phones because I can call one person with a 14). This has been happening since the outage on August 7th and not a single Verizon tech support person can figure it out.

I’m at a point of moving my service to AT&T

Due to a recent separation, I’m going to need to change wireless providers from Verizon to a different carrier soon. I’ve looked up the process for porting my number, and I’m aware it requires an Account Manager to provide a PIN number to approve the transfer.

My problem is that I’m not able to get an Account Manager to do that for me, as my Father-in-law is the sole Account Manager and he’s recently hired a fiduciary to handle his finances, and the woman in charge of his accounts is being completely obstructionist and unwilling to assist anyone. My son recently had to do the same thing, and she refused to assist him unless he paid her a $250 “Processing Fee”.

This is only one of many things she’s done since being hired to hinder his entire family’s lives. We’ve tried talking to him about it and he refuses to listen, even my wife (an only child) is unable to make any progress with him. So my question though is whether anyone knows if there’s a way to get a number ported without going through the Account Holder (or in this case his POA)? I really need to keep my current number, and am looking for any assistance anyone could provide.

I ordered a Samsung Z Fold 8 Ultra using Verizon App yesterday, with store pickup in Reston, VA (I have Unlimited Ultimate Plan for four lines). Order went through fine and I went to the store today evening to pickup. The sales lady found the order in her tablet and then went back and talked to an older lady staff. Shortly after, she returned and said she was sorry ... there was some issue ... and they had cancelled my order! As she said that, I got notifications that my order was cancelled. She would not explain why they cancelled it right in front of me, without even checking with or informing me. She said there was some issue with their system, and again gave a feeble apology. 30 mile trip for nothing! Did this happen to anyone else?
