Hey! We’re looking for a short-form video editor based in India to work with us on an ongoing basis.

We’re building Boomm, a social platform for college communities, and we’re creating a content format around real conversations, street interviews and college-campus interactions.

The content will mainly be for Instagram Reels / YouTube Shorts, with most videos around 30–60 seconds.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll take raw interview footage and turn it into engaging, social-first content.

We’re looking for someone with a good understanding of:

• Hooks and retention
• Pacing and storytelling
• Finding the best moments in raw footage
• Captions, cuts, zooms and SFX where they actually help
• Short-form content that feels native to Instagram/YouTube

Experience with street interviews, campus content, talking-heads, podcasts or similar formats is a plus.

You’ll help us build the format

For the first few shoots, we’d like to work with the editor through calls/meetings with the students recording the content.

The goal is to figure out the shooting + editing SOP together: framing, questions, shots, what footage we need, how we structure the reels, etc.

Once that’s established, the process becomes much more streamlined. The focus then is on turning the footage into strong reels and creating the right moments within the edit.

If you see something and think:

“If you shoot this differently next time, I can make a much better reel.”

That’s the kind of input we’re looking for.

The initial format-building is only during the setup phase. There is no ongoing on-ground requirement.
