Why Music to listen to is actually BMTH’s most important release (and essentially their Kid A)

I've seen a lot of you guys not being... big fans of 'music to listen to'. And I think that's a big shame!

Because I think it feels like their version of Radiohead’s Kid A or Aphex Twin's Drukqs. That much needed palete cleanser.

Yk, if they didn't do the whole 'let's break things and have fun with it' phase I don't think we'd see the POST HUMAN era.

How Modern Writers Murdered Worldbuilding

Modern storytelling is actively hollowing out worldbuilding by removing "system friction."

When distinct races, cultures, and histories are sanded down into interchangeable skins—like the sanitized Qunari in Dragon Age: The Veilguard or the total collapse of logistics in The Rings of Power, the world loses all its moral voltage.

A living world needs genuine difference and institutional resistance and leads to the "Hollow World" problem destroying modern media.

Hey guys, I've been making a living as a Director for a little over 20 years now. Indie features, commercials, branded content, and everything in between.  I just put together my first video essay breaking down how I shot my latest indie feature for under $1MM using specific Spielberg techniques. Getting that big-budget look on an indie budget. 

My latest film was released in theaters last year. In this video, I break down 4 scenes from the film and the Spielberg techniques used in each of them. This is my first time making one of these video essays, so if people respond well I'll make more. Hope you guys get something good out of it!
