One of the most unique reincarnation stories out there : Rewriting the Villainess

Won't spoil much, but it's a story between an author and her character. Both finding more meaning in life after helping out each other. I think the main message of this manhwa is that stories aren't just entertainment. It is a powerful tool to convey a person's emotions and be the guiding light to another. Both of them were lonely. But the character gave the author the courage she needed to face her fears, and the author gave the character the ability to trust and open her heart to others. If you've got any questions, feel free to ask

Has anyone else read this underrated gem?

Fls buying slaves in OI

I hate this trope sm i cant even 😭😭. Why does the FL buy a slave for a ridiculous amt of money to save them ?? It’s literally perpetuating the cycle and helping the criminals afford more slaves bc its profitable to them. isn’t there a better way to do this ?? i want to know if anyone else has an idea on how this trope could be better executed

OI/Webtoon idea: Kingdom thriving after villainess's exile/execution

i have this idea in my head for awhile, i don't have all the details finalized and i don't wanna give spoilers in this post if i even decided to write on.

you know how in most stories after a condemnation event, the villainess gets exiled or straight up executed. then years later (after the exile/reincarnation) or during, we see the downfall of the kingdom due the crown princes & OGFL foolish actions (since the villainess was the important one holding things together despite the mistreatment) and it's viewed as karma retribution & calm revenge for what they did to her. (since the most reality revenge is living your best life while your enemies' shrew in their terrible actions)

what-if instead of the kingdom's downfall, years after the villainess exile/reincarnation, the kingdom is said to be genuinely thriving. like the OGFL & Crown prince grow and/or showed some level of competent and responsibility despite how they behaved last time (after all some people change if realized their actions and choose to change). this infuriates the villainess as while she did make a comforting life for herself, the fact that the people who hurt her can just... have a happy life, with a kingdom that love them is just... grrrrr

So she sneaks into the kingdom, incognito just to see how everything has change: from the people she knows to the kingdom's systems. and throughout the stories you learn bit by bit on what happened based on her interactions on familiar & new people... you learn that the whole story of the Exile Villainess who was humiliated and falsely accused by the Baron Daughter... isn't as it seems

The Villainess Turns the Hourglass

This manhwa is one I recently finished re-reading and oh boy...the impression it left on me is truly something. Of course, I naturally jumped on here to see whether others had similar opinions to mine, yet I was disappointed to find out it was quite the opposite.

Nonetheless, as a Literature student and a die -hard fan of this story, I feel like I want to give my perspective here as well. I wish to write a few of posts analysing in detail some of the most important characters (blame my passion for my studies or my ADHD or maybe both :)).

Warning ahead, I haven't read the novel yet, so this is just about my thoughts on the manhwa alone. It may ruffle some feathers, but I do sincerely believe many people failed to properly READ the story. The plot itself wasn't necessarily hard to follow, but many misunderstood the characters, hence the hate this manhwa gets.

You may believe I am being biased here since I said I am a fan, but to be fair, the first time I read it I was too rather annoyed. Everything seemed too smooth ; there were no obstacles, no actual villains and the revenge became rather tedious and unimpressive after a while. However, after reading it a second time, things changed. We are all so used right now to reading stories with intricate, complex worlds, characters over-explaining every detail and solving everything through communication - yet this manhwa brings a healthy dose of realism which you may not be fully aware of. The dialogue and monologues tend to be rather witty and often leave room for interpretation, ergo the confusion it creates.

This is all I have to say for now. My next post will target Aria's character, so if you are curious, tag along.

[Game] Find the name of Villainesses. There are 10 of them

As I mentioned above there are 10 names who are known as Villainesses ( misunderstood or not)
They could be:
Left to Right
Right to left
Downwards or upwards
Diagonal
Aside from those 10 names there are some bonus words too

Have fun finding them 😉🫶🏼

Let's all address...her

Ratatsha is the Villain, there's no hiding it, the manhwa doesn't make her a villian she is the villian that's how she was written.

was she written by an idiot, yes, 10000% but she is the villian, she is canonically an evil person, plenty of villains have sad backstories, she's not the first and probably won't be the last but this is Navier's story so yeah, she's the villain

you can smypsthize with her all you want but that doesn't change the fact that she canonically will kill for her goals, they write her as a ruthless individual that's what she is no fan theory is gonna make her actually a good person.

there were plenty of evil slaves in the world, she ain't the first but let's hope she's the last, I don't exactly want slavery to exist.

Cunning, Clever Manipulator in one timeline, Stupid Petty Manchild in the next

I've been thinking on how within the first timeline of *any "*reincarnated/transgression" OI, the supposed villains succeeded in their goals (becoming queen/empress, marrying another woman, fortune/status, etc) and ruined/killed the FL. So, you figure that once the FL goes back in time, she'll have to outsmart some extremely cunning and clever individual who is ten steps ahead and is a formidable opponent

Only for the new timeline to start and the villains are nothing but stupid petty man-children with the subtly of a sledgehammer. They act so loud, petty, extremely cruel and inept that, you have to wonder how they even succeed in their goals in the first timeline outside of dumb luck. Since they have no skills or intelligent in politics, or social etiquette. They can't even pretend to be decent beings to form allies and alot of how they behavior makes themselves look bad & incompetent in high society.

It makes it very transparent that they only act this way to make the FL look better and the revenge to be satisfying w/o any repercussions. Instead of writing the FL as clever individual who uses her knowledge of her previous life to outsmart her opponents, they just make everyone around her stupid and incompetent to make her look better. Villains that are written as extremely childish and stupid but your still supposed to treat them as serious antagonists, not only makes the FL look worse since they don't have to put in any effort to best her enemies, but you just start to pity the villain for basically being a punching bag

If both the FL and the antagonists have the same power level (whether in strength, politics, wealth, status, charm, allies etc). It would have make for a much interesting conflict that the FL/ML beating them so easily

WTF is with these reincarnated villainess animes

So we all know the just of these reincarnated, as the villainess animes, there's a villainess engaged to a prince, and she really loves the prince, but the prince doesn't really love her. He finds the heroine and the villainous bullies her, and it continues and escalates until he finally snaps, breaks up with the villainous and gets married to the heroine. My issue here is, why did it take that much for you to break it off with the villainess? The Prince has clearly cheated. That's why she is pissed off and bullying the heroine in the first place. He is cheating on her. And we never touch on that topic. He could at least break it off with the villainess, first and then go pursue the heroine that he has fallen in love with. Its still bad but not cheating. But he never does that, no. He lets the villainess suffer through his adultery, and then gets the girl in the end. That's messed up. That's not okay. It's never okay. But it's always treated as yeah, it's fine. And we all know that since a set in this society of aristocracy, that she can't break it off herself. She is in a position below him. He is the prince. So he has to be the one to break it off. But he doesn't. And if she just found someone else too, then she would be seen in the wrong still, because how dare you cheat on the prince who do you think you are? like it's messed up. Why can't we have an anime that talks about the fact that he is still cheating on her? And that he doesn't get the heroine in the end cause that's messed up too. Why does he get rewarded for cheating? Its emotional abuse along with adultery. And on the heroine, why tf cant she reject the man. She hears that he is someone else’s fiance and doesnt think "hm maybe I shouldn't be pursuing him..." NO she doesnt she continues to try to date and chase after him. They BOTH should know better and stick with their people and/or break up with their attachment. I pity the villainess in these otome game/animes so much man.
