Who remembers VACUUM tube banking??

I still remember going to the drive through and hearing the whooshing of the vacuums as they sucked the money away

I Found A 1985 Sony Trinitron At My Local Electronics Recycling Center!

Just recently, I went to my local electronics recycling center, where I found a working Sony KV-1396R CRT TV from November of 1985. The unit itself still works perfectly despite being covered in dust, and it also has AV inputs on the back!

Bringing life back to Cge CFK 2500

Hello!! I found this old video camera with sentimental value.. The model is Cge CFK 2500 from the '80s with 8-pin DIN connector as shown in the photo. I wanted to try using it but

  1. I have no idea if it can be used and what I have to connect to make it work

  2. I have no idea where to put my hands to then convert everything to digital...

Does anyone have any advice?

My Panasonic tube story

Bought new for my grandmothers bedroom till 2008 then the tv was Moved to the farm house till 2018. (Barely used)

During renovations in 2018 it was thrown away by my family and i recognised it and stored it.

Gladly i found the original remote in a plastic bag tied to the tv.

Even-though it is not as high end as a Sony WEGA or a Trinitron it still has vivid colours

Dark blacks and bright whites and a flat glass screen (i still prefer the curved ones).

So eventually December of last year took it and cleaned it and placed it in this corner hooked it to cable ,a dvd player,a wii and a VCR which my cousin borrowed it.

It gave that sitting area a flow it was missing it turned a dead zone into a social rest area even though it is far from perfect with a missing front cover i still like the period correct coziness it brings as i live in an old house.

I couldn't bare see it thrown away especially with the memories it had.

So this tv went through a full circle it returned to the very house it started its life as a new modern tv but this time as part of the family.

What is the solution for covering the front input/button cover ? Thank you and i hope u enjoyed the story of saving a forgotten tube.

Can anyone help identify what 10 pin power cable I need for my Panasonic WVP-A2E?

Ive had a good look online and cant seem to find an exact match.

I don't know much about this stuff so would really appreciate a nudge in the right direction!

JVC BR-DV600U miniDV vcr error 7203 and 7001 :(

I have another miniDV vcr that has these two errors when I try it on with a tape 7203 and 7001. Anyone ever had luck resurrecting these miniDV VCRs? Would love to it to archive my tapes instead of another camera

How much would this collection (theoretically) sell for?

Not planning on selling it, just very curious

This looks cool! Sony AV-3600

I found this at a garage sale. It's beaten up, but it seems pretty interesting. It looks like it's got an old training video from the Pueblo Colorado Police department.

Not really sure what to do with it, but I have it now!
