Dear TPO,
I have just one simple request: please inform OR provide the shortlisted list to all students about the status of the companies or processes they have applied for.
After applying to a company, many of us have no idea whether the shortlisting process has started, whether it has already been completed, or whether the process itself has ended. We keep waiting for an update and, meanwhile, continue preparing for that company because we think, “Maybe this is the opportunity I’ll get, so I should be ready for it.”
If a student is not shortlisted, please at least send a simple rejection/update mail saying that the shortlist has been released and they were not selected. Alternatively, publishing the shortlisted list would also help.
For a few companies, this is already done. So why not do the same for every company? We don't need anything complicated; just the list of shortlisted students and the status of our application.
This communication gap affects many of us. We spend days preparing for a company, staying hopeful that we might get the opportunity, while the process may have already moved ahead and we don't even know our status.
Knowing whether we have been shortlisted or rejected helps us understand where we stand and decide how to prepare for the next opportunity.
A simple request: please keep us informed. Even a basic shortlist or rejection update can make a huge difference during placements.
