Volca jam
My first timing posting, just an experimental composition I was playing around with. Haven’t gotten deep into the FM2 yet, and still pretty new at this, but having lots of fun with it!

Hey community,
I’ve built a toolchain for developing custom effects for the MS-70CDR pedal series. At this point, the pedals can basically be treated as an open-source coding platform. Right now I’m porting Chris Johnson’s Airwindows plugins step by step.
“Stereo Chorus” is already up and running, sounding flawless so far.
If you want to contribute ports or simply download and use the FX, check out the GitHub repo:
https://github.com/repeat98/ZoomMultistompZDL
Custom ZDL support will be coming with the Zoom Effect Manager 2.3.3 update.
Spread the word, so we get more developers on board to make more FX.
Also, if you have suggestions for effects you’d like to see, leave them in the comments.
Cheers,
J
Since the week or so I’ve been working with the Volca Beats I shifted towards Uptempo Patterns, but I’ve been really inspired by the Downtempo sounds of the 90s. The Drum Pattern is inspired by Breath From Another by Esthero. Sounds from the FM1 and Keys are some simple pads and bendy bass noises for some more atmosphere. Hoping to extend the sequence and grow it into a blend of DnB and Downtempo. For now, I jam!
Couldn't help myself hehe:

Hey everyone,
I made a hard transport case for the Volca and wanted to share it here to get some opinions from people who actually use these little boxes. I don't have access to all of them but if I'm right with my measurements it should fit all of them.
The idea was to make something compact but protective enough for travel, storage, and just throwing it in a bag without worrying too much about it. It has a hard outer shell with EVA foam inside, so it keeps the Volca protected while staying easy to carry around.
I’m curious what you actually care about most in a case like this:
Would love to hear what you think or what you’d want differently in a Volca case.
Any feedback is appreciated!
Mine arrived today, and the tube sound honestly feels amazing.
You can really hear the character once the resonance is high and you push the saturation and level a bit.
Honestly, I think it feels easier to use than the regular Volca Bass, and the sound naturally leans more toward acid which is super fun.
That said, the 3VCO setup on the Bass is still incredible too.
I’m still a beginner, but I feel like the Bass really shines for more ambient or mysterious stuff.
The problem is… my gear collection is starting to get out of control now 😅
I’m genuinely running out of space.
I almost sold my Bass, but decided to keep it for when I want to make more atmospheric sounds.
For the people who own both the Bass and the Nubass — how do you personally use them differently?

A video compilation of another jam session using my jamstation. I went outside at 10:00 PM to film the video. With a touch of overdrive and delay, the dense sound of MicroFreak cuts through the rumble of traffic. The duet of Freak and Korg Volca Drum demonstrates the vast possibilities of digital synthesis, and Loopy Pro frees your eyes and fingers from all unnecessary distractions and invites you to embark on a special nighttime journey. Unexpected encounters are possible...
Thinking of Volca Sample or Volca Bass….
Wanted to call it ‘Volca Jams!’ but the requirements stopped me! I recently received a Volca Keys and Beats from a super kind Redditor who caught my first synth jam post. I just started playing around with the Keys today and grooved into this gritty space sound. Still working on my ideal recording setup but for now I jam on!
Hi, I'm looking to replace/cover the knobs of my volcas. The see-through white plastic ones are nice, but the positions aren't exactly readable. I'd like to read how far closed or open the knobs are. On top of that, the current knobs are a bit too fiddly
Anyone experience with this? Manufacturers?
Just wondering if anyone can confirm if this is expected behaviour, or if my Keys is acting up. To recreate the issue, you need to be in unison, octave or fifth, and with flux switched off. Examples:
So basically, any change I make, the note after that change is deleted. This also goes for changes to the 16th note - the 1st is then deleted. This makes changes impossible when not in poly
This doesn't happen in poly modes or with flux turned on. Do other people's Volca Keys behave this way? Is there some technicality here that I'm overlooking? Am I maybe just going about the task of changing a note the wrong way?
Here is a cheap hard case I found that is originally for the switch 2 but works pretty good for the Volcas with a small modification. You can get these at Amazon for a little over seven dollars each. There’s a flap that I cut out that is for storing the games, but it makes the case a little too tight with the Volca for my liking these cases are not too snug and not too loose and almost seems perfect.

Hello I have a few questions
Is it possible to export samples and sequences in memory from volca sample 1?
If I change the firmware for pajen will it erase all my sample and memory?
Where can I find sample packs?
Do you manage to make song with only 10 memory of 16 steps??
I d like to do some darkpsy or psycore is it possible with a volca sample or am I totally delusional??
Hi everyone!
I got a Sample 2 (which I really enjoy) and I'm looking to fill up a rack of 4. Now it's time for decisions and I seek your wisdom.
If you had to choose three out of all the Volcas (excluding Sample), which would you pick to cover the most ground?
On another note, the Volca Mix looks like a nice tool to manage the whole thing, but is it worth it or should I save this space on the rack for another instrument Volca?
I'm also planning on getting a Minilogue xd soon so that might also play into the equation...
Thanks!
On the Volca Beats/Bass if I load a bank, the pattern will immediately switch mid-measure. Does Volca Sample work this way, or does it queue up the pattern for step 1 of the next measure?
