Slight problem with my Polo, the lights when i start the car are always on with the sidelights illuminated green. this light is quite strong, a bit too strong to be on all the time, when i switch them to sidelights the light is considerably smaller. Is this a case of dodgy wiring or just (my) user error. Thanks :)
Hi Guys,
Just found this red button like thing in my vw polo front pocket, any what this is??
I took a clear video but here unable to post it
BTW, hey guys this is my first post here! For about a year now I’ve been contemplating changing the headliner + panels on my 6R Polo from the stock grey to the black that came standard on the BlueGT, GTI and Black Edition and as of yesterday, I finally came to a decision.
This for me is such an underrated mod as for me it makes my otherwise bland car feel somewhat sporty. In addition to that, it kinda makes the interior look more premium than it actually is since most people (including me!) incorporate black headlining with luxury.
Anywhoo, my old headliner started sagging not too long ago and I felt it was a perfect time to finally crack on with this little project of mine. For the trim pieces (pillars, sun visors, etc), I took them straight out of a scrapped GTI just to keep things OEM and replaced the headliner material with black fabric.
This mod really works well with the LED interior bulbs I installed not too long ago and I really wish I could attach a night time picture but my phone’s camera sucks at night, but it’s really good trust me.
To end things off this is one of many OEM+ mods I’m planning to do on my Polo and hope I have fun doing so as well. If you made it this far thank you so much for reading through this essay!😂
Hello. I have a 2011 Volkswagen Polo 6R 1.2 TSI (manual transmission) and I’m having a strange issue.
The gear indicator on the instrument cluster sometimes disappears or shows the wrong gear. I also have no reverse lights. I already replaced the reverse light switch, but it didn’t fix the problem.
The issue happens much more often in the lower gears. After driving for a while and the car warms up, it becomes less frequent, especially in 5th gear.
I also noticed something important: when I move or shake the gear lever, the gear indicator changes or flickers. This makes me think the problem could be related to the gear selector, wiring, or a sensor on the gearbox rather than the gearbox itself.
Has anyone seen this before or knows what could be causing it?
i’ve got a 2007 polo E, tried getting a remote key but it wouldn’t programme and the guy who did it somehow managed to throw up a code and now my mileage ain’t showing. these are the keys i’ve got (not my photo, just don’t have them on me atm) is it possible that i can get a the key that i have programmed or have i just wasted £130?
Went to the beach, sat on a towel, not smart… I know… salt water, girlfriend tried to get it out but feel like it got worse…
Today in the morning my car started just fine, everything was alright and there were no faults. after 4-5 hours i started the car again and there was a Start-Stop fault on the screen and when i tried to press the start stop button it went away but when i pressed it again it did the same thing. any idea why this is happening? it drives just fine, only problem is the fault on the screen.( hata means “error” in turkish so it says error:start-stop)
I get this light on my dash board every 30-50 miles or so. To get rid of it you pull the dipstick and it’s gone. The level is where it should and the last service was recent enough. Any ideas?
Hey everyone, I recently bought a 2015 VW Polo (Japanese Import) here in Ireland, and I’m trying to figure out my best options for getting Android Auto running on the dashboard for Google Maps, Waze, and Spotify. My phone is a Google Pixel 10, and I'm based in Dublin. I’ve seen a lot of videos online about DIY patching MIB2 units via an SD card to activate App-Connect, but my unit seems to be a highly specific regional variant and I'm getting conflicting information on whether it's possible. Here are my exact system specs (from the Service Menu): Head Unit: Composition Colour layout (6 physical buttons: RADIO, MEDIA, PHONE on the left; MUTE, SETUP, SOUND on the right). Part Number: 3Q0035877. Software Version: H21.50.69_STD2Plus_RoA. Installed SW MU Version: 0132. Installed Software train Version: Displays as blank dashes (----). Current Features: I can see a MirrorLink icon in the menus, but no active links for Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. My Questions: Since my Software Train is blank and it's a _RoA (Rest of Asia/Japan) region unit, is there any actual SD card patch framework that works on this firmware architecture to force Android Auto to wake up? Or does this layout completely lack the physical hardware requirement? If a software patch is impossible due to the regional firmware/hardware limitations, is an RCD330 or RCD360 hardware swap the most seamless, plug-and-play way forward to replace this specific unit? Are there any specialized car coders or retrofitters in the Dublin/Leinster area who deal with Japanese import conversions that you would recommend? Appreciate any insights from the VW audio experts here!
Is it possible that the clutch pump on my 1.0 MPI polo is already to be replaced with only 40000 km?!?
