Spent 56 Minutes of my life deeply analysing which Robot’s Body Parts are in the Spare Parts Image for the sake of Useless Information

yes, I actually looked through every robot (that has similar colouring) one by one to see which parts matches

Such A Fun Game :/

TDM is literally unplayable with these annoying sniper giraffes. In this match they were FOUR of them on the enemy team and FOUR on my team. I literally stayed afk for 7 min doing nothing and just waiting for them to move a little. I'm praying so hard these weapons get nerfed TO THE ABSOLUTE GROUND. Anyone playing this all game needs to uninstall.

SHANTAK AND URHAG is the most stupidest thing that War Robots added in the game.

I just spawn in our base and 1 second later, the Shoggoth with 2 Shantak MK2 and 2 Urhag MK2 just snap the 200k health of my robot, this is ridiculous.

What a Fang believes...Giveaway Winners

Let's thank u/Shredder_Blitz once again for providing the 50 Fangs.

The winners are in. Drumroll please...

But first, let's have a look at the results.

3,049 entries.

You have enough resources to make one major upgrade before the next event. Which strategy would you choose?

Option Percent Chose
Strengthen the robot you use most to maximize its performance 30.6%
Upgrade a lower-level robot that fills a missing role in your lineup 13.6T%
Improve a weapon or weapon family that can benefit multiple robots 21.1%
Save the resources until you get to know more about the next event 34.6%

The biggest themes from this?

Why did you choose this option in the question above?

  1. Specialization. You wanted to concentrate resources where you already had familiarity or could get an immediate payoff.
  2. Portability. Spend resources now on things (weapons) that could transfer over.
  3. Save resources. Uncertainty is the driving factor here. A lot of mentions of nerfs, buffs, new equipment, rebalances and waiting to see what the future holds.
  4. Diversification. Players were thinking at the hangar level. Fill in missing roles and balance out your hangar to avoid having weak spots.
  5. Meta volatility. This was the first overarching them. There were a lot of stated reasons all pointing to meta and all pointing at it from the four answer choices given to you in the previous question. Some of your strategies to deal with meta were saving resources, upgrading weapons or doubling down on a robot you know.
  6. Resource scarcity. This is the second overarching theme. Your responses indicate how you allocate scarce resources based on how you perceived it to be costly or difficult to replace. In an odd sense, it's like you're looking at this from an actual investment strategy.

Those last two cut across every other answer choice.

And now the winners:

Best team!

Lios, nuos, menders, keprhi, wayland, and diameter! Used in one match! (In this screenshot we have 2 menders, 1 diameter. Wish we had more pics)

Why is the game so much better than what people say?

I'm constantly hearing about hackers and P2W- and I've seen no hackers whatsoever, in the week I've been back to playing this game. Masters btw, yet no hackers. P2W are still a slight issue, though even F2P enemies are killing me- it seems almost fair, if it weren't for the Shoggoth at every turn, but even that's (barely) managable- hide behind cover, getting closer, until you can kill them. If you get specific maps, like Springfield, you can leave the game and join one with a less Sniper-camper-friendly map. Phase shift is also useful for that, as they physically cannot hurt you. Shieldbreaker gets past the unbreakable Aegis.

this game isn't that bad for me- is it just a thing Pix did for returnees, keeping me from joining matches with hackers? (though that implies that they know who the hackers are and can stop them- but of course they won't, because more revenue for them! If I had to bet, UE Hellburner is the next new bot)

Spare Parts , do you want to know more , trust us you do

We are removing upgrade timers, and Spare Parts is what makes it possible.

Throughout Update 12.4, we will be running a series of highly ambitious tests. This experiment targets a core system that has been in place since Day 1: robot upgrades. Because of the balancing risks involved, it is entirely possible we may have to scale back or even scrap the idea. However, if everything goes smoothly, this feature will bring the War Robots upgrade system up to modern standards and pave the way for significantly faster gear progression.

Here is how the Spare Parts feature will improve the upgrade system:

  • It eliminates the need to constantly watch upgrade timers.
  • It significantly slashes the total time required to fully upgrade a robot or weapon.
  • It flattens the steep spike in MK1 timers, making your progression feel more logical and rewarding.

NO UPGRADE TIMERS

On accounts with the new system enabled, robots and their equipment can be upgraded instantly at the press of a button, just like Titans. To balance this, each upgrade will require a specific amount of Spare Parts alongside its usual Silver cost. This feature allows us to maintain a healthy sense of progression while cutting out the tedious, time-consuming wait.

WHAT ARE SPARE PARTS?

Your Workshop automatically produces 1,500 Spare Parts per day, just a notch over one part per minute. They represent the work time of your hard-working hangar drones that used to facilitate robot upgrades.

Accumulating enough Spare Parts to max out an item is significantly faster than waiting out traditional timers. Let’s take a look at the preliminary numbers for a Tier 4 robot:

Item Level Minutes Spare Parts
1 120 100
2 300 300
3 840 600
4 1,680 900
5 3,960 1,200
6 6,120 1,500
7 7,440 1,800
8 8,400 2,100
9 8,880 2,400
10 9,120 2,700
11 9,600 3,000
12 0 0
1 720 3,000
2 1,440 3,000
3 2,160 3,000
4 2,880 3,000
5 2,880 3,000
6 2,880 3,000
7 2,880 3,000
8 2,880 3,000
9 2,880 3,000
10 2,880 3,000
11 2,880 3,000

What used to take 83,820 minutes now takes 49,600 Spare Parts, which take roughly 47,600 minutes to produce.

The same time-efficiency applies to Tier 4 weapons:

Item Level Minutes Spare Parts
1 120 100
2 300 200
3 840 400
4 1,140 600
5 2,400 800
6 4,080 1,000
7 5,160 1,200
8 6,480 1,400
9 7,200 1,600
10 7,680 1,800
11 8,160 2,000
12 0 0
1 720 2,000
2 1,440 2,000
3 2,160 2,000
4 2,160 2,000
5 2,160 2,000
6 2,160 2,000
7 2,160 2,000
8 2,160 2,000
9 2,160 2,000
10 2,160 2,000
11 2,160 2,000

Here, 65,460 minutes of upgrade time are substituted with 33,100 Spare Parts. While these numbers will likely change after initial testing, the core logic remains the same: faster upgrades across the board and no steep increase in wait times around late MK1.

HOW TO GET SPARE PARTS?

The primary source of Spare Parts is the Workshop, where they have their own dedicated production slot. To move them into your storage, simply claim them from the assembly line. You can grab them fresh out of the oven in small batches, or wait for them to pile up. Just keep in mind that once your production slot hits 1,500 Spare Parts, progress will pause. You'll need to collect the produced Spare Parts before your workshop drones can get back to work.

MANAGING UPGRADES EFFICIENTLY

The new system also eliminates the need to constantly monitor upgrade timers of varying lengths, a change that is especially noticeable when working through low-level upgrades. Now, you can hoard Spare Parts and rush through multiple upgrades right before you dive into battle.

UPGRADING WITH GOLD

Finally, even with Spare Parts in the picture, you can still use Gold for instant upgrades. If you run out of Spare Parts and don't want to wait for the Workshop to produce more, you can buy them with Gold right on the spot.

PSA: Anaksor can be one tapped by Trebuchet

Dear all WR players,

When you see me, a maxed crisis with full trebuchet ready to lobotomize the anaksor that just started flying, please don't shoot it...

Its immunity passive only works if it has any HP remaining after the single hit, but 4 maxed trebuchets from crisis is enough to bug splat them consistently AS LONG AS THE ABILITY HASNT TRIGGERED YET.

For some reason after it goes invis the first time, all subsequent one shots no longer one tap it, so look around you first and see if you have a degen like me on your team.

Sincerely,

Trebuchet Crisis Enjoyer, fly swatter extraordinaire.

Should I get mender (and level it very highly?)

I have seen mender being fun to play last year and it was still viable then, but now I don't see any videos talking about it, even if so, only about ultimate mender. But seeing how fun mender is, I want to ask, should I use my resources on mender? And if so, what weapons should I pair it with?

Devourer brawler

I've recently did this setup on devourer and funny enough it works pretty well when I got to understand how to use it especially since it got nerfed. Anyone else got any interesting setups, also what do you think of mine.

I'm very skeptical about upgrading these weapons

Just like what happened to bjron, waymaker isn't broken but the weapons that released with is overtuned. They gojo'd huggin and munnin's magazine in half, and I'm scared that they'll do it here too.
