I got Wallpaper Engine today and have been experimenting with it. It was one part of my disappointment to know I couldn't set a video as a wallpaper, but I found it EXTREMELY INFURIATING that when I tried adding a color gradient to my audio visualizer (via pulling an effect out from the workshop), only one bar actually changed color (see to the right of the circle image near the bottom right corner).

Anyone have advice? Tips? I tried pulling visualizers directly from the workshop, but I either couldn't figure out how to modify their colors, or the background was directly built-in with the visualizer, which, obviously, I refuse to have. Thanks!

I did go and investigate how to mess with animation myself but it was pretty overwhelming. This WP is so sick would love to see a wavy effect on the portal, blood from the snakes mouths, the flowing robes etc.
I also waited to see if someone would make this anyway since there are quite a few people making poe2 wallpapers but after four months or so nothing has shown up.
If someone with the knowhow is kind enough to put the effort in I'd really appreciate it.

The idea is that I take the iGPU (GPU 0) and basically dedicate it to wallpaper engine so the real GPU (GPU 1) can handle everything else.

Is this okay to do or will it cause some issues in wallpaper engine?

EDIT: I posted a longer more detailed answer below, but the short answer is it doesn't work. Utilization on the dGPU actually went UP.

This isn't perfect, but for my own purposes I'm pretty happy with where it sits so far and I figured I'd publish it just in case anyone wanted to try it out. Eventually, I'd love to get way more ambitious and set this up to actually change with time of day and local weather, but that's a little outside of my skill set for now and this was meant to just be a casual project. Any feedback is welcome, though I am aware of some of the issues already and I can't say how soon I'll be able to put more work into this. You can find the workshop page here if you'd like to try it on your own desktop, though I don't know how well it will scale to aspect ratios other than 16:9 (or anything far off from 1440p for that matter).

Also, I can absolutely forsee and understand concerns that this was made with AI, so let me just preempt those worries and say that no generative AI was used in the creation of this scene. The only artwork that went into making this came from the handful of frames I used from the show and the few pixels I had to paint in manually to fill in the gaps in the sky and the cut-off clouds after separating the layers.
