So I created my own wallpaper but the video i put is darker in the wallpaper editor and when i use it, is there any way to prevent this ? I tried everything like changing wallpaper engine's settings, change the brightness before using it on wallpaper engine, change the brightness in the proprietes, like nothing changes. Any help ?

If you recently updated to Windows 11 Build 26H1 and noticed your desktop background continuously flashes or turns solid black every 10 seconds while Wallpaper Engine is running in the tray I found the definitive root cause and fix for it
### 🔍 The Cause
In the new 26H1 build Windows handles background desktop rendering and theme updates differently If you have the "Override" options enabled Wallpaper Engine constantly generates backup images in `%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Themes` to sync with your Windows accent colors and lockscreen Windows 11 rejects this loop causing the Desktop Window Manager DWM to glitch and flash a black screen every 10 seconds
### 🛠️ How to Fix It
1 Open **Wallpaper Engine Settings**
2 Go to the **General** tab and scroll down to the **Windows** section
3 **Uncheck** these two options
* ❌ `Override wallpaper image`
* ❌ `Override lockscreen image`
*Note In my testing keeping ONLY the "Override lockscreen image" enabled didn't immediately trigger the black screen bug However since it still drops backup image files into the OS theme directory it's highly recommended to keep BOTH turned off until a hotfix is released to prevent potential background system crashes or freezes*
