SpaceX aborted a rocket launch 58 seconds before liftoff today. The stock jumped 7.6% anyway.

SpaceX had a Falcon 9 sitting on the pad this morning carrying 21 U.S. Space Development Agency satellites.

Then, with roughly 58 seconds left in the countdown, the rocket automatically aborted. SpaceX says the vehicle and payload are healthy and they'll try again tomorrow.

Normally you'd expect that headline to hurt the stock. Instead, SPCX closed up 7.63% at $171.09. The bigger catalysts appear to be Morgan Stanley reiterating a $300 target and Elon Musk confirming early talks with TSMC about potentially supplying chips for the massive Terafab project.

So investors basically looked at an aborted military launch and said: irrelevant, we're valuing the AI, Starlink and Starship opportunity instead.

At what point does SpaceX stop trading like an aerospace company and start trading like an AI infrastructure company? Perhaps the time is now.
