Transportation LB
My friend and I are staying near Los Angeles Southwest College... we plan on using uber to the venue (more than likely) our only struggle is getting back last year We didn't use the shuttle and Ubers were like almost $200.
Unfortunately i grew up in a very no public transportation area so shuttles confuse me so much. last year somebody we met said that we should get the shuttle pass so that we can go farther into the city after the show and then take an Uber from there but that was a year ago and I was exhausted someone please help. I mostly need to know.
Is it a good idea to get the shuttle pass and do it the way we talked about or is there a different easier way to go about this? And where should i be going?

It was the 2nd year of the tour
Any pre-parties happening on Friday July 24? Long Beach area
Seeing if there’s anything to do before warped starts the next day
How much are y’all spending to get to warped LB?
For the people not local that is. I finally booked my plane to LGB late af due to circumstances and it was $500!!! LAX was a bit cheaper but uber would end up making it more expensive.
I have 12 more hours to decide if I want to cancel the plane ticket and I’m really torn. I love the lineup this year, but do I love it enough to spend $500 on the flight alone? I’ll be staying with a friend so at least accommodation is not a factor. Was originally supposed to hang with a good friend at the festival but they’re mostly likely unable to make it anymore. I don’t see them often so now spending the flight money to go to warped alone feels a bit hollow. Help me decide :D
ETA: a lot of my thinking hinges on the fact that $500 for a plane ticket is a lot for me, which I would have been easily willing to spend to both see my friend AND go to warped, but now that it’s most likely just to go see warped, it’s a bit harder.
I made a free metal festival booking simulator game
I've spent the last while building a browser game called MetalFestV.

The idea is simple: open band packs, build your festival lineup, place bands across stages, and try to sell out increasingly larger festivals. You'll need to balance headliners, support acts, stage placement and overall lineup strength if you want to make it all the way to Download Festival.

It's completely free, runs in your browser, and has no ads.
I'd genuinely love feedback from people who actually listen to this music because the whole game is built around metal, metalcore, hardcore and rock festival culture.

Warped DC GA Bracelet
Hey! I liked my GA bracelet so I made it permanent. I know a lot of people are creative so I just wanted to share the idea!
I just got one of those fanny pack kind of clips. It made 2 bracelets, surprisingly.

Makeup Artists at Festival
I am going to my first warped in Long Beach, my boyfriend has been before like 10 years ago. He said there used to be makeup artists that would do trad goth makeup there for people. Is this still a thing?
LB Karaoke
Last year I know there was couple of people here in the Reddit who met up at a karaoke Spot in Long Beach . Was wondering if there’s any chance they’ll have Karaoke spot again
LB Any runners?
I saw that some other festivals have done 5ks in the morning, is anyone going to Long Beach interested in putting together a run? Or is something like that already planned?
What warped needs next year lol.
So visiting Busch gardens in VA for the first time and came across this big ass misting fan, and it putting out hella mist. Better than the ones at warped. Thinking they should invest in some of these too lol
Jimmy Eat World Plays "Big Casino" at Stone Pony Summer Stage (Asbury Park, NJ - June 25, 2026)
Simply put - Jimmy Eat World were phenomenal at the Stone Pony Summer Stage this week (June 25, 2026). And while the show saw them play 'Bleed American' from top to bottom in celebration of the landmark album's 25th anniversary, witnessing Jim Adkins sing the "Big Casino" lyric "I'm a New Jersey success story" under the Stone Pony awning in Asbury Park was a truly magical moment.
I'll be sharing more clips from the show overtime, but here's Jimmy Eat World playing "The Middle" that night in full:
Stay tuned for more things to come from this space, including stories from concerts like this!
LB Parking live!
The ParkLB site for the city of Long Beach has been updated to include all day parking for both dates of WT.
Long Beach resident here. Just a request to support our community and the many independent shops we have.
For people coming in from out of town, welcome to Long Beach. It’s a pretty cool town with lots of diversity and a strong independent vibe. It’s also one of the queerest cities in the country. I just want to give you some cool places to support if you’re staying in town.
Coffee: there’s a bunch of mom n pop coffee shops, and most are pretty decent. My personal favorites are Black Dog, The Merchant, Wood, and Dedo. Black Dog has some amazing beans they roast in house, so if you go, pick up a bag of beans.
Donuts: you’ll also see there’s a ton of donut shops. They’re all pretty decent, but there’s a few standouts. Sweet Retreat (fantastic vegan selection and others), Moon Bridge (very creative flavors and designs in a Wes Anderson inspired shop), and Simone’s who get bonus points for being open 24/7.
Breakfast: there’s a bunch of great cafes. I’ve always had good food at The Breakfast Bar. Blackbird cafe is also delicious-they had one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever eaten with their Cubano Benedict.
Late night after fest eats: your best bet will be street vendors. There’s taco stands all over. El Sauz will probably have their takeout window open. Plus I’m sure there will be hot dog vendors on the way out of the fest.
Other food: For burgers, I do really like the Win-Dow, and also Eat Fantastic. Ali Baba is fantastic for middle eastern food. Pickle Bahn Mi are some of the best Bahn Mi I’ve ever had. Pho America for pho. Sushi- my favorite is Sushi Mafia. For poké, I like Poké Pola. And desserts Sweet Jill’s is a local legend, but also Snoballs is to die for.
Record stores: Fingerprints is our big store that gets all the in store appearances and signings. Great selection. I also love Toxic Toast Records. They specialize in punk, goth, ska, and Japanese city pop. The owner goes to Japan a couple times a year and brings back crates of imports.
Breweries: I’m not much of a beer drinker but I know people like Trademark a lot. I’ve enjoyed Long Beach Beer Lab because they have a bunch of pinball machines. I’ll also shoutout Syncopated brewery too.
Cocktails: we have a couple fancy cocktail bars in town. My favorite is Wicked Wolf. Great cocktails and Mocktails. Also Baby G has a great cocktail list.
Dispensaries (if you indulge): the best deals consistently are from Catalyst. They have a bunch of locations in town. Haven has decent first time customer discounts.
But if anyone has any questions or recommendations, feel free to ask. I’ll be at the fest all weekend, and hope to have some fun. Also any other locals, feel free to add.
Edit to add: another dessert spot-long beach creamery for some damn fine ice cream with sophisticated flavors
2nd edition to add: clothing-if you’re looking for some punk and goth style clothes check out Dead Rockers on 4th, and also Eclipsed Emporium. Eclipsed Emporium is definitely the more goth leaning. Both are great though. Also if you want some Long Beach themed clothes, check out Long Beach Clothing Co-just down the street from EClipsed Emporium.
Pizza- if you catch 4th Horseman on a good day, they have some really creative pizzas. Also Thunderbolt pizza has some absolutely delicious wood fired pizzas. A local delicacy is Thai Curry Pizza-it’s literally a pizza with the ingredients and flavors of Thai curry. You’d think it wouldn’t work, but it’s really good.
How many bands were you able to see in one day?
Curious to know how many bands you all have been able to catch in one day.. of course including break time, grabbing a bite to eat, etc. How many bands were you able to fit into one day?!
Jimmy Eat World Plays "Bleed American" at Stone Pony Summer Stage (Asbury Park, NJ - June 25, 2026)
Seeing Jimmy Eat World play their landmark album 'Bleed American' anywhere would vlbe special (not only do they sound INCREDIBLE live, but my lord is that album stacked with phenomenal songs), but seeing them perform that album from start to finish at the Stone Pony Summer Stage is the definition of perfection.
I'll be sharing more clips from the show overtime, but enjoy this snippet of them playing the album's opener/title track at the June 25, 2026, show in Asbury Park, NJ. Here's also Jimmy Eat World playing "The Middle" that night in full:
And stay tuned for more things to come from this space (including stories from concerts like this)!
LB parking passes are up!
