Current Collection

Started watch collecting 2 years ago. No big brand watch yet but going there. I don’t wanna miss out watches I liked just to get there. Hahaha!

Latest collection is the Nivada Grenchen F77 Ceramic with Meteorite Dial. The most unique piece now from my collections. Love the revival of the brand and the business direction they are going!

Next watch will be a Longines Conquest (couple watch) Tudor Monarch or the Nivada Antarctic (35mm). Depending on budget availability.

Grail: Vacheron Constantin Overseas 4500V/110R-B705

Current Collection - Thoughts and Next watches?

Got into watch collecting to spend more time and bond with my son. Unfortunately went down the proverbial rabbit hole that never ends. I’m taking a pause to appreciate what I have but would love to get feedback on what I have and possible next watches. All watches from the AD except the Hermes and Oris watches. My next 2 watches aside from my Rolex grail of a Sky dweller is a Breguet Traditional and a JLC duo face reverso. Open to suggestions and feedback. Current collection:

  1. Hermes Arceau
  2. Rolex OP Beige
  3. Atelier Wen Salmon dial
  4. Omega Seamaster Black Black
  5. Rolex Datejust white gold fluted dial
  6. Rolex Bluesy
  7. Cartier Santos
  8. Tag Heuer Seafarer
  9. Glashutte PML green dial
  10. Rolex Yachtmaster Chocolate Dial
  11. Rolex Seadweller
  12. Breitling Avenger
  13. Oris moonphase

Collection In Flux. Need To Slim Down But Hard Choices Lie Ahead

This is my State Of The Collection today. (By the way, I am asking for a new watch box for Fathers Day.)

I am at a crossroads. It is a fused collection from my own 40 years of collecting and of my late Father's collection that he left me. I am trying to figure out which dress watches to part with cuz they really aren't my gig. Some will stay for sure like Dad's two tone Datejust which was ever present on his wrist since I was a kid. The Stainless Datejust was my first Rolex purchase so that will be hard to part with. But others are very collectable like his 1940'-50's 18K Rose Gold Hooded Bubleback 3065 in mint condition. That watch is currently being overhauled by the Master Horologist at Bailey's Rolex Restoration. It will be in perfect condition when I get it back but will probably move on from my clan. It is very special, rare, and beautiful but also very petite. I know I will hardly ever wear it if at all. I prefer the 1950's 10K Gold Oyster Precision 6022 he left me. That watch totally rocks me and I do wear it for dress occasions. The only problem with the 3065 is that it was a gift from my Mom to my Dad for their 25th anniversary. Now I have it. Still, that one watch could turn into 1 super nice watch that I would like to have in my collection and several other more daily types if it sells for what I think it is worth. It is a tough choice to make. 2 watches not represented in these pictures are my Longines 18K gold art deco 1950's Tank and another tank that I cant even remember what it is. They are being serviced at the Bailey's as well. I think in the end, Dad would want me to make it my collection and not his. When the time comes, I plan to pass the SOTC on to my sons and I really don't care what they do with it. I would hope they keep anything that stirs them emotionally and gives them fond memories. Sell the rest and buy something special for your family or if you don't want it at all, sell the whole damn thing. I will be in a much better place where watches probably are not needed! I would like to trim the collection down to 12, possibly 14 max slots, not counting the pocket watch. That stays for sure!! It was my Great Grandfathers and it has his name engraved on the case back. Still runs well today.

Thoughts Welcomed.

Didn’t make the cut

So I’ve decided to finally let go of some watches. Some bought on a whim. Some I’ve had for a while and have gotten newer versions I like better. Wife said some had to go if I’m going to keep getting new ones. Any of these something you guys think I should keep?

[Collection] My not so expensive watch collection

Timex expedition I believe was the first watch I bought, then when I started my first job, GA-2100 still running strong, then my friend gifted me A158W, and finally I got the teal color Casio**MTPB145D .**

The most compliments I have received has been for the Casio A158W, everyone says it’s the vintage Casio!

Next watch I am thinking of getting a chronograph maybe something 38mm, I am assuming by the watches I own , you can make out I have skinny wrist

Grand Seiko sbgx357

Finally got an sbgx357 as my first luxury watch. I am a sucker for an exceptional quarts movement and the convenience of that. 37mm is perfect size on my wrist I think. And the dial is my favorite color, im glad they released it woth that awesome blue seconds hand. Couldn't be happier.

Sold my entire watch collection, how should I rebuild it?!

There’s been watches I got bored with or wasn’t wearing enough…others I had that I loved, but it was a lot of $ laying around… I decided to liquidate and put the money into real estate which paid off very nicely.

I don’t want as big of a collection as I once had but I would like 3 great pieces. What should I get?

For reference, I’ve had a Pepsi on Jubilee, a Batman, AP Royal Oak offshore, Cartier Santos, omega Speedmaster, Rolex day date everose Olive dial, a solid everrose root beer, black sub, the Hulk, multiple Daytona variations like: the Paul Newman on oysterflex, the white gold ghost on oysterlex and both steel Daytona’s black dial and white panda dials.

Didn’t have them all at once, but rotated and enjoyed over a period of years. What should I replace them with??

I’d like two sporty watches and one dress watch

Worth the international shipping risk?

I’m after a gold tone or bronze watch and preferably a coloured dial and budget up to £700. The Seiko Alpinist SPB210 seems to fit the bill really well. Except they’re discontinued and only one I’ve found in the UK for sale is broken.

There’s a few on sites based in the US and Canada, but I’m worried I’ll get stung with import duties/taxes that could take me over budget - and the handling across the Atlantic.

Am I worrying too much, or should I just push the button?

SOTC today

I've been collecting for a while. Here is my current collection. A couple of the Citizens need to go for repair. I also have a G-Shock I use for daily wear.

What would you get next? I'm looking at Orient and Seiko. I really like day-date combos.

[SOTC] Long time reader, first time poster

I’ve been a fan of this Reddit for a while and admire the collections from many in the group, so figured I’d finally share my own and contribute to the enjoyment. First shot is my collection, second is my spouse’s. A mix of sentimental and milestone watches over 20 years, including our engagement, 40th bdays, and professional accomplishments. Thanks for reading, would love your opinions!
