I’m looking for a WEBTOON I read years ago probably made in 2016-2019 or earlier it basically followed a girl who knew her planet was going to blow up and tried finding someone to bring with her I think it was someone she was crushing on and she ended up bringing the wrong people on board and she has a romantic situation with each of them. She’s also very powerful and can fight really good. One of the characters is a man with black hair.

Think about it. Most people outside Korea discovered manhwa because content was accessible. No paywalls, no geo-locks, no paying the equivalent of a full meal just to read a series. That accessibility created a massive passionate global fanbase.

Now the same platforms benefiting from that audience are re-locking chapters you already paid for, removing free reading options, and pricing out the exact readers who built these communities in the first place.

I've been thinking about what a platform would actually look like if it was designed for the real global audience... not just people earning in dollars or won.

Permanent unlock after purchase. Reasonable pricing. A free path for readers who genuinely can't afford subscriptions. Creators keeping ownership of their work. None of this seems radical but apparently no one is doing it. If you could redesign the webtoon reading experience from scratch what would actually matter to you? What's the one thing current platforms keep getting wrong?

heyyyyy i have an idea for a bl WEBTOON or manwha that I’m not quite sure about and I’d like to get some peoples opinions ( this is based of a dream I had so I added as much as i could)

So there is a boy named ceph who grew with a bunch of others in a building and at a certain age they are called down to go to a room to do some kind of quiz to see if they are chosen  to pick a child to raise with someone else (usually a girl and rarely a guy) but as ceph is on his way there. in the halls he spots a room which is like an arcade and there is a little boy there. ceph walks up and asks him his name, it is Leo. Ceph then asks if Leo would like to come with him(be his “son”) Leo agrees and follows him to the test room when they are there they surprisingly let Leo in with him. Suddenly the person beside him says “are you sure you want to be with that boys parent?” “Wait wha-“ ceph says as the bells rings for the test to start and everyone is silenced. Everyone only has one question to answer but ceph gets stuck on it and Leo helps. When the test is done Leo is thirsty so ceph goes to get him a drink, as he approaches the door frame he bumps into another guy that’s obviously around the same age as him but very tall and muscular. “Sorry” ceph says as he moves out of the way to let him pass. As ceph is about to exit he hears the guy talking to a “guard”. He asks if anyone took his son before the test since they are supposed to be picked after. The guard suddenly points to the little boy Leo standing next to ceph. ceph and the guy both freeze. “Huh?!” Ceph says in utter disbelief.

I have an Idea for a webtoon, but Im not the greatest artist if I might add. So I'm curious about this topic specifically. I don't have the spare money for a team and would rather have a team to help. But due to my current budget, is it wrong to get help from ai generated images and redoing them to my own work???? Just curious.

Edit: Might I say, I debate this because I find it degrading as a writer, as well as an artist, to use AI. I do NOT usually support the use of AI for this reason, but I understand that some people have good ideas with limited tools... its the times we live in, and u got to do what you gotta do!

I found the official Dafont profile of the creator of the Komika fonts, and it clearly states that the Komika fonts are not free for commercial use. Now it all seems much less safe.

The Komika fonts are widely known as royalty free, and the license (readme) says “freeware” in every context. I don’t think it’s really safe anymore to use the Komika fonts for commercial purposes.

I just recently changed my licensing to make it even simpler now haha.
I charge $20.00 across the board for Unlimited royalty free use of any of my fonts for commercial businesses.
I only accept payment via Paypal or Postal Money Order so you don't have to worry about bad checks and whatnot.
Just add a note in your info file with your font letting people know how you wish to sell it.

I definitely agree metaphasebrothel...I get emails all the time asking to use my fonts for various things, most of the time it falls under personal use so I just thank them for letting me know about how it's being used and wish them luck.
My licensing is simple..if it's just for a super small project I don't care,I've donated the use of my fonts to a bunch of bands I liked and other people like for charities and such, If a business is planning on selling a lot of items using one then a small license fee shouldn't be a problem.
I made my licenses real easy..anything up to 1000 units or for a small commercial web site it's $5.00,up to 5000 units it's $10.00, and for a unlimited unit license it's $25.00. For OEM packages and other such uses that fall outside of a general license it would have to be worked out with the company on how they plan to use it.
I'm not looking to get rich off fonts, it's just a hobby I enjoy. Pretty much all the money i've made from it I've used to buy my software haha.
and those crazy contracts give me a headache haha!

This is how I understand The World After The Fall after reading this manhwa.

This will only answer the most asked questions about this manhwa.

This is all information you can obtain by reading the current chapters of the manhwa so there are spoilers if you haven't caught up.

(Most of the terms used are based on the Webtoon TL)

Universe of the [Tree of Illusion]:

In the center of the universe is the [Great Realm] with the [Tree of illusion] planted on it. (Imagine a huge tree (Tree of Illusion) planted on a massive floating island (Great Realm) with the roots (Nightmare Towers) extending through the bottom of the island (Great Realm) to the far edges of the universe). This makes up the center of the universe.

At the edges of the universe are countless smaller worlds (Earth for example), these worlds are connected to the [Tree of Illusion] by the countless roots [Nightmare Towers] of the [Tree of Illusion].

The [Tree of Illusion] is the land of Spirits and can only be entered by Spirits, all locations in the Tree (Chaos and Abyss) are only inhabited by Spirits therefore they bleed white as they are not physical bodies.

People that die in the [Tree of Illusion] die completely and become nutrients for the Tree.

Locations in the [Tree of Illusion]:

[Chaos], The trunk of the Tree, is called the land of the dead, it is named that due to the fact that those that die in the [Great Realm] with their physical bodies have their Spirit summoned to [Chaos].

[Abyss], The branches of the Tree, is called the land of the Gods and is divided into 8 sites (basically territory) the rulers of these sites are called the 7 Divinities, the eighth site Caspion is not ruled by anyone and is a free site.

All Gods exist only as concepts and require Agents to carry out their will, each God has their own [Worldview] (similar to a [Unique World]) and provide their [Worldview] to their Believers, a God gains more power with the more Believers they have.

Gods use [Settings] (basically skills) and can manifest their [Worldview] into reality, known as summoning Holy Ground. [Awoken] ones that have reached the 4th Stage have similar power as Gods, and can also manifest their [Unique World] into reality.

The [Great Realm]:

The [Great Realm] is the foundation on which the [Tree of Illusion] stands and is outside the [Tree of Illusion], everyone in the [Great Realm] have physical bodies and bleed red as they are outside the Tree.

The [Great Realm] is divided into 12 zones, the rulers of these zones are called the Grandmasters (also referred to as the 12 Masters), and are among the most powerful [Adapted] Players.

"Products" (Players) that have completed the tutorial [Nightmare Tower] and [Adapted] to the System are sold by Cultivators to the Grandmasters.

The Grandmasters bolster their forces with these "Products" to aid in the unending wars of the [Great Realm].

The Masters can enter [Chaos] (even though they have physical bodies) through the use of an object called the narrow gate, this gate separates their physical bodies from their Spirits then sends their Spirit into [Chaos].

Those that have entered [Chaos] while their physical bodies are alive will have a link connecting their body and Spirit, and they will bleed white even though they are alive because they are in Spirit form in [Chaos].

Those with the link will return to their physical bodies when they die inside the [Tree of Illusion].

[Nightmare Towers]:

[Nightmare Towers] are items made by Dream Demons that are then sold to Cultivators (Beastreign for example) to Cultivate various worlds, Those that answer the call of the tower enter a collective "Dream" (have their Spirit pulled into the Tower along with others) leaving their physical body in a coma and begin the tutorial.

[Regression Stones/Nightmare Stones]:

Users of these stones are left in an Eternal Dream (basically a coma).

Those that didn't use the stones and died in the Tower have their Spirit returned to their physical body and their memories of their time in the Tower are erased, and they continue their life in their world as if nothing happened.

Players who couldn't have their memories completely erased (such as Yunhwan and Seoyul) have their Spirits brought to the [Abyss] by Dream Demons and are sold as Believers.

[Adaptation] and [Awakening]:

[Adaptation], Players that have accepted the System through the tutorial, [Adapt] to the System and use the power of the System, they see the world through the Systems many interfaces and are therefore limited by its rules and stats, Players reach higher stages of [Adaptation] through training, and experience gained from learning Skills.

[Adaptation]'s power scale is divided into 15 stages, higher stage [Adaptation] indicate that individual wields greater power under the System.

[Awakening], Players that begin to doubt the Systems validity and reject it eventually break free from the System and gain great power as they are not limited by the Systems rules and stats. [Awoken] ones reach higher stages through sudden enlightenment.

[Awakening]'s power scale is divided into 6 stages.

Obliteration, the first half to break away from the current world.

1st Stage - Suspicion (see the true nature of reality).

2nd Stage - Understanding (understand the true nature of reality).

3rd Stage - Oblivion (forgetting the identity created by this world).

[Awoken] ones that have reached the 3rd Stage break free from the System and see the world through their own eyes instead of an interface, each [Awoken] one perceives the world differently, the way they perceive the world is known as their [Unique World].

Genesis, the second half to create a new world after breaking free from the old one.

4th Stage - Hypothesis (manifest your [Unique World] into reality).

5th Stage - Proof (your [Unique World] becomes reality)

6th - Stage (unknown).

Jaehwan's goal:

To save countless worlds and countless peoples lives while avenging his friends by ending the world of the [Tree of Illusion] and killing Big Brother, thus ending future Cultivation.

Is this a perfect Story? - No.

Does this Story have its flaws? - Yes

Do I think its still worth reading? - Absolutely.

Hi! I’ve been super into BL recently and I need some recommendations. It could be webtoons or tapas or some other site I’m just used to WEBTOON.

I recently really liked Hazeshift and Souris for apocalypse vibes (although the pacing of souris is slow I still loved it). I like the emotional and physical angst of it all and the danger. If there’s any others like this it would be great
Bc of this I also really enjoyed Cherry Crush and Osora.
I’ve read Boygirlfriend, and To Be Honest (would love something like this as well)
