Just a heads-up: A Rhino employee is saying that the 12GCC "powder blue" colored vinyl is almost sold out.
Supposedly 10,000 copies were pressed, and they're almost gone at this point. Get 'em while you can, boys!
were ween ever influenced by half japanese?
i recently got into jad fair through his collaboration with yo la tengo on “strange but true” and through that got SUPER into half japanese,,, i was listening to 1/2 gentlemen / not beasts and it almost immediately reminded me of ween’s bilboa tape lol
it’d even be cool to see if there’s other ween fans that like half japanese :3
Custom Ween gift my gay trans husband made for me
A little Ween tray/dish/ trinket thing my husband made for me. It's so well made, and the colors are from the GWS cover, my favorite album. He also made an ashtray covered in noses lol show some love please :)
Looking for the picture of Dean mooning Gene while he’s asleep
I’ve been trying to find this image again, I have it on my old phone but it’s fucked. Does anyone have it? It’s pretty self explanatory; Dean is hovering his bare ass over Gene’s face while he’s asleep, presumably in a tour bus.
what do you think are deaner’s best guitar tones?
imo it’s either a tear for eddie (especially the outro) zoloft live in chicago or jonny on the spot, as well as the transdermal celebration solo, anyways there’s way more i haven’t mentioned so don’t beat on me in the comments.
Any Bruce Haack fans up in here?
Checked this one out for the first time the other day and it gave me some serious Ween vibes. and it’s from 1970. would love to know if the boys were fans of his.

12GCG cd booklet scans?
Picked up a used 12GCG from eBay off Goodwill. It was 20 bucks and they had a stock photo of the artwork no photos of case or anything. I get the Cd and it’s the Ali speech version but the booklet has mold and is water damaged.
Anybody have a high quality scan of the booklet and back art work so I could make my own to replace?
How would you describe Ween's approach to writing?
For some reason when describing Ween to people, I use the following basic ideas:
-novelty played straight
-funny, but not comedic
-uses irony in a genuine way
The lyrics tend to use their goofiness and novelty in ways that are humorous, but at the same time can be a bit profound in ways you didn't expect.
There's a sense of innocence and simplicity that they seem to capture that allow them to branch off into wild places in a lot of other ways.
Maybe I've answered my own question, but lemme know what you think. What other bands/poets/whatever also seem to get this sweet spot right?

Literary references/influences?
For some reason it just struck me how random in the context of ween’s lyrics name dropping franz kafka was in she’s your baby (one of my very favorite songs). I was just wondering if there are any other literary references in ween lyrics I may have missed or any interviews where aaron or mickey talk about any sort of poetry or books that inspired them
ask me a ween related question. Then after I answer it, edit the question to make me look like an idiot.
the hudsucker proxy
ok, stick with me on this one, in the 1994 cohen brothers film the hudsucker proxy, i don't want to ruin it if you haven't seen it so I won't go into tons of plot details, in the 50th min or so there's a scene in the news room chiefs office, where a reporter played by Bruce Campbell smacks the backside of another reporter played by Jennifer Jason Leigh, she slaps his face and walks off angrily yelling "back off smootcher!"
my initial thought was obvious that the guys might have been watching that movie and that scene made them laugh and the song was born, but then i remembered that pure guava came out in 1992 so...
are joel and Ethan cohen huge ween fans or is this just a ridiculous coincidence?
Suggestions needed!
I just found this on Insta about the Beatles and i think ween defo needs one, give me some help and suggestions and I'll make it! I already have a few ideas but i want to get some more opinions.
