The night before the 4th round of chemotherapy on 3rd July, Kakali Aunty began experiencing severe abdominal pain. Sadly, a CECT scan revealed that the tumour mass has caused a sinkage of the gut leading to bowel obstruction, a life-threatening condition. Dr Sen will perform an emergency surgery (colostomy) tomorrow as there is a high risk of her colon bursting, making every moment that passes critical to her survival.

Thanks to your generosity, we’ve raised Rs 2.4 lakh. We're extremely grateful to each one of you. However, even with their savings combined, Pritam’s family doesn't have enough money to pay for the total cost of her operation, admission charges, blood transfusion and medical examinations. Depending on how the surgery goes, she might even need more chemotherapy and use colostomy bags for several months. Today, with a heavy heart, we are reaching out for your help.

Our youth organization, Jubo Bangla Samiti (Rishra Unit), recently completed a field survey of illegal dumping sites across Ward No. 13, Rishra (West Bengal).

Instead of just posting complaints online, we:

• Conducted on-ground inspections.
• Photographed and documented multiple illegal dumping locations.
• Prepared a formal report.
• Submitted an official complaint to the municipality.
• Received an acknowledged and registered copy with the municipality's seal and signature.

For us, this isn't the end of the process—it's the beginning.

We'll now:

• Monitor whether the dumping sites are cleaned.
• Document any progress.
• Follow up with the municipality if necessary.
• Keep residents informed with transparent updates.

We believe constructive civic engagement means working with institutions while also holding them accountable.

Cricket—men's or women's—is 💩. Seriously, why the hell do people watch this boring shite?

Literally every other mainstream outdoor sport in India—football, hockey, kho kho, kabaddi, volleyball, badminton, you name it—is more exciting and doesn't demand an entire working day of your life.

Even the shortest format of cricket somehow manages to drag on for 7–8 hours. Seven to eight bloody hours. At that point, you're not watching a sport; you're serving a sentence. It's batshit.

Let's be honest: most people aren't glued to the screen anyway. They keep refreshing the scorecard every now and then and only bother watching if their favourite team is in a semi-final or a final. The rest is just background noise.

Meanwhile, kabaddi wraps up in about 40 minutes, football in 90, badminton in under an hour—and they actually manage to be entertaining without testing your will to live.

We've somehow been brainwashed into believing this boring-ass game is the pinnacle of sport, when in reality it spends most of its time doing absolutely fuck all before something mildly interesting finally happens.
