Im looking to expand my listening so I was curious what are some of your favorite shows that are dormant?

Two of mine are Rock and Roller Derby and Cat Bomb! Radio.

I was thinking of volunteering or otherwise getting involved with WFMU - I can have a lot if social anxiety, so this was a big step for me.

Earlier this year a friend I’d made on the comments board ended up being SUPER creepy at me and now I’m totally scared off.

I don’t log onto the comments board any more - mostly just listen to the archives so I can avoid them completely.

I feel weirdly guilty? Idk why.

I’d still like to be more involved but this other person is inescapable, even though they don’t have any direct affiliation with the station.

I just have to ask what was Kenny G's Hour of Pain like if you listened to it live?

My only exposure to Kenny G was the WFMU documentary and I gotta say I'm a little scared to go listen in the archives hahaha

I recently discovered WFMU. I noticed on the Rock N Soul stream, requests are often taken during their AI blocks. Does this stream have a wide playlist of making requests or does it stick mostly to 60s rock which I hear a lot of? I have tried to make several requests but no luck—wondering if I am outside the window of types of songs this will play with my requests?

First up, the archive bunker is fabulous! Thank you so much to the lovely folk/s who made it.

Since July it consistently “forgets” all my progress bars and which episodes are marked ‘completed’. And it won’t remember newly favorited shows. I can make any of those marks or changes, but when i reopen, say, the next day, everything has reverted to how it was in early July.

Or late June? All i know is all favorites, completed marks, and progress bars from late June and earlier are still there.

Anyone else having this prob?

(iPhone 14+, iOS 26.6, I’ve force quitted and restarted the phone)

Anybody know the story behind this Michael Shelley #1 hit? Searching for the track and supposed band The Tizzys only turns up results for...The Michael Shelley show. Will be bummed if it's AI, as we know Mike hasn't seemed to have scruples re: AI jingles etc. in the past. What say you, glisteners?
