Hello!

Found this currant looking fruit on a bush/sheub bordering a sidewalk. It looks similar to currant but the leaves are different

It also doesn’t form bunches. The fruits were individual.

Any ideas?

My husband bought this at the Queen Vic Markets in Melbourne Australia. The guy selling it called it a cream apple but specifically not a custard apple. It tastes a bit like a persimmon or a custard apple, but only has a handful of seeds. Very soft jelly like texture.
